I know I'm not going to get in!

Okay, so I took the NET on friday. It was the last test for the 2006 fall sem. There are 60 seats in this school...70 poeple showed up for the final test they offered(so imagine how many showed up on earlier tests). Towards the end this lady shows up and says they already have 50 some seats taken...so that means 70 students are fighting for 10 some seats...and majority of the students are FRESH high school graduates or still in HS...so you can imagine how great they're math and reading will be. so anyway...i did alright in math but umm english--the reading was about ART RENAISSANCE...is it only me that think it's soooooooooo boring that you have no clue what they're talking about even after you read it like 3 times? it's so sad that i'm already expecting my rejection letter! :o

Don't give up! I'm applying to a school that receives 1200 applications for 100 seats. The odds don't appear to be in my favor either, but I'm not giving up!

Tania, your attitude will determine your aptitude. You have to think positive. I think you set yourself to fail from the time the lady told you only 10 seats left. If it was me, that would be my motivation. I would say, if there is only one seat left, it is going to be me. I hope you change your mindset before you apply again. I do hope you get in though. Good luck to you.

This is OFF TOPIC but how did 50 people get accepted into a program where the deadline had not occurred and not all of the applications were submitted? Can anyone explain this?

And while you are at it, can anyone explain how some places offer 60-120 seats for the Fall but at some point in the process they tell people there are only 2 spots left? :uhoh21:

I have read the latter scenario a lot on this board. Thanks.

Personally, I don't believe a word anyone says until I get the letter in my hands.

Don't be discouraged!!! Even if you don't get in this time, consider yourself intelligent enough to get to the point of being able to apply.

My rejection letter I received for Spring '06 was only a reason to try again. I had never been so far as to be able to apply.

Wait to you get your letter. You never know if you're accepted or denied until you get it. OK? (((((Hugs)))))

I with my girl Funnie on this one. It ain't over until I get that letter in my hand!:balloons:

Thanks guys...I feel a bit positive now. Let's see...after all this is not the end of the world! if not now...i will surely make it one day ;) .

I wouldn't give up hope either, i know how you feel though. I got chosen as an alternate for a class that admits 100 people a year i am number 8. Of course I'm trying to stay positive but day by day i just get a little more discouraged but some people on here say some great things that give me some more hope so just listen and don't give up you just really never know whats gonna happen;)

Negative thoughts bring negative results...you have to nip this in the bud now!
