I know I failed!

I took the NCLEX-RN yesterday. I just know I failed. I had a feeling of doom from the beginning that I was not doing well. I had only 5 or 6 of those "higher level" prioritizing type questions. The rest were med-surg type questions and many, many teaching questions ("the nurse recognizes correct teaching when..."). I had a lot of select-all-that-apply and FOUR med calc (I never heard of anyone having that many...sigh...) My test cut off at 75. I did so horribly that it decided it was done with me right then and there! I know I missed question 75, too. I needed more questions!!!!

My state does quick results, has anyone ever gotten their quick results on a Saturday? I know it says 2 business days but... I am dying here! I was so certain I would pass (I did Hurst review and everything) that I rented an apartment I can't afford.. I am sure I won't keep my job as a GN since I am supposed to come out of orientation Feb. 18th as it is.. what am I gonna do???

That is so funny! I felt the same way! I probably should have taken a break, saved it for home!!... I felt like my heart was going to come out of my mouth and splatter on the screen. It's the most horrible thing I've ever put myself through and I kept having to think "What did I do to deserve this??" and where are the priority questions????

I would have traded the priority questions for whatever you had except that cane quesstion. I was thinking "what is going on here?" It was so terrible that I looked down at the question I was on and it was like 263 and forgetting that the max was 265, I was like "I'm taking another break when I get to 300"--that's stress, confusion, altered mental status, and diarrhea.

i have some hope now.12 more hours to go for my results.what i am scared is that the test was not as difficult as i expected it to be and it shut down at 75.keeping my fingers crossed.

Haha I too had the test keep asking me questions on the same subject. Only mine was Diabetes. I remember sitting there FREAKING out because I was like " WHY do you only keep asking me about Diabetes? and then thinking " YOU JUST ASKED ME THIS 10 questions ago!". I thought the test was trying to tell me I had gotten them wrong before only the answer I picked was THE SAME as I picked the 1rst time...hahha....and I passed.

Stinkin' NCLEX....I wonder how many people get ulcers from it?

That is really good to know! In the practice questions I've done, I've been asked almost the same thing, and it was mostly because I had gotten the answer wrong in the first place. lol.

did you think that the KPLAN questions were most like the NCLEX questions? On the question trainers i have bee scoring 67-71% and i am praying that I will pass this week when i take the exam. i have done everything. Hurst and KPLAN. i really do not use the kplan methos to answer questions unless i get done to 2 answers that sound right. i mostly use hurst. what do you think?

I PASSED.JUST GOT THE RESULTS AND WAS SO RELIEVED TO KNOW THAT I MADE IT.THANKS BE TO GOD.ITS SUCH A GR888 FEELING.

I USED BOTH SAUNDERS AND KAPLAN AND FOUND THAT NCLEX QUESTIONS ARE SIMILAR TO THE KAPLAN Q TRAINERS.INFACT I GOT 3 QUESTIONS WHICH WERE EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE KAPLAN QUESTIONS.HARDWORK AND PRAYERS DID WONDERS FOR ME. ALL THE BEST TO EVEYONE WHO ARE GONNA TAKE THE TEST AND THANKS TO EVERYONE IN THIS FORUM FOR ALL THE SUPPORT

you give me hope for this week!! I have done almost all the test in the question tranner and i will complete 7 today. i hope they are like that be i do ok on them. The q-bank once are a little harder i think. thanks so much and CONGRATS to you!!! your a nurse!!!!!=). i hope i can say that some day, i have worked so hard and i have never studied so much in my life!!!

Anyone feel like they just dont remeber half the questions? Did I repress it all like I am in post traumatic stress or what??????????? I cant remember but 6 or 7 of the questions. ARG!!!!!!!
