Thanks. But all of you have helped me a lot, too. Yeah, I am academically farther along, but the support I find here keeps me going, especially lacking an actual brick and mortar classroom.
:)
Give us an Executive Summary about Informatics please.
- Is there a sizable demand for it?
- Who or what type institution is doing the hiring and based on what trends?
- What type of prereqs are there and what type of students enroll (other than geeks)?
- What was your decision criteria that made your mind up?
- How many semester hours is this program?
Thought you were going to take a little longer, but when its right, only you yourself know for sure. It looks like I may get my ADN and RN, so thinking of a similar 'type' program with a 2 x 6hr semesters undergrad (since I qualify with a previous undergrad) and 30 to 60 hr grad program: both degrees conferred upon completion of the grad program. Its a satellite brick and mortar location, but I'm going to use video classes whenever possible for non-science or non-lab requirements. Well, that's the plans this week anyway, lol.
Double congrats on RN and new discipline adventures. It really warms my heart to see someone who works hard having their rewards. I guess you already have your RN job and school sponsor where you work now. It must be real nice to see all of your plans come together. You are my Hero!!
I've been considering getting my BSN through EC. I live in New York but I don't know anyone personally who has done their ASN to BSN program.
I realize you have your BSN and are going for your MSN but can you tell me, do you have to enroll with EC and pay an enrollment fee before beginning to study for the tests? Thanks and congratulations!
