I graduated!

I finally did it! After all the hard work, blood, sweat, tears, anger, doubt, I made it! I graduated on Thursday from my LPN program with my 19 classmates and it felt good. I'm a single mom, I haven't worked in four months after holding down a full-time job majority of the program. But God did it! Won't he do it! I'm just so happy. And my little 5 year old was right there to see Mommy meet and exceed expectations for him. This is just to encourage someone out there. I've been told by prior students I can't do both. My circumstances were different. I had one job that I worked full time from the start of the program and got laid off last June when the company closed down. I then worked PRN for a home health agency as a CNA but it wasn't paying the bills. I then left there and worked another full-time job and once that contract ended I was unable to find anything that could fit my busy schedule. However, with the help of a great Dad and such a supportive family/friend unit I made it through. So I hope this little nugget encourages someone. If I can start a program and complete it after trying to finish for over 13 years, anyone else can. Don't give up, don't give in, block your mind from the haters, and know that you know that you know you can do it. When God is in it, everything else doesn't matter.

Congrates!! I too went to school with three boys at home but do have a great husband who supported me.We made it through partly with school loans but i alsohad those who didnt think i could do it.It was a challenge but that made the reward even sweeter!

Congrats! I can't wait until I'm there!

What a wonderful story... Congratulations on your new beginning and all of your endeavors to come 😊😊😊

Congratulations and THANK YOU!!!! I am a single mother of 3 boys and have been trying to get through Nursing school for the past 11 years. I am in my last term and was feeling terrible for wanting to cut back on my hours thinking that I won't be able to make it. You are SO right! God got me this far and I'm sure HE will see me through to the end. I really struggled to get through the previous term and the majority of the stress came from trying to squeeze work into my class and study time. I was actually considering just going back to work and going back to school at a better time. But this reminded me that, the same way I had to step out on faith to get this far, my faith will get me to the end. Again, THANK YOU!!!

Thank you! You will be there before you know it. I had a lot of moments when I thought I couldn't finish this anymore. I can't do it and I sometimes I really didn't want. I didn't always want to get out of bed 5 am for weekend clinicals and not spend the weekend with my son, at church, or the beach but He saw me through. He will do the same for you too. He is faithful!
