Finally I have the time to post this out....got my acceptance letter last friday from NYU's accelerated program!!!:roll I am very happy but worry and nervous and confused, all that mix-feelings all at the same time; and am still not sure if i should accept this offer due to the big tuition....
i was about to decide on taking out loans and go for it but then yesterday one of my classmate told me about the big debts (due to high interest rate) ppl owes after they take out loans for private schools scares me.....she said the guy was somehow mislead into taking out about 50 thousand dollars loans and ended up owing abt more than 100 thousands after graduation due to those small "fine prints" some lenders had on their agreement....my mouth drop right to the floor and it made me think twice abt borrowing loans.....
i guess the decision is on me to risk it or not...so again, decisions, decisions~~
anyhow, i am still happy and again good luck to those that are still waiting~!!!:heartbeat

Congratulations on getting into NYU. It has in excellent reputation in all fields, so I think your degree is worth the loans you take out. You really cannot put a price tag on your education in terms of your future income potential and ability to be competititve in the marketplace.

Hi Drizzle,
Congrats on your acceptance to NYU.:balloons: I too have been accepted to their accelerated program and my jaw dropped when I saw how much I would need to pay to attend their school! (I will not be attending because I have been accepted to another program) But I think the other posts are right! It's your education and it will most likely be worth in the long run!!! Good luck to you!

Drizzle,
I got my letter about a week ago, but I'm am not in the accelerated program -- still have three courses to pick up in the fall. Still, I'll be there also as a second degree student. Congrats to you and Visuals. I am so relieved to be finished with the application process, and the waiting waiting waiting. If company makes you feel better, I'll be taking out loans also. I'm not too worried though -- NYU has excellent institutional affliations and a great reputation. We'll all get good jobs if we give it our best. I'm a New Yorker, married, male, 53. I'm going to be able to bicycle to school from where I live. I am so psyched. See you all in the fall.

Congrats to all of you guys in your acceptances. I'm still waiting for a letter. I've been calling them and they have been referring me to a counselor. So I still haven't found out yet. I'm nervous since it hasn't come yet but I'm located across the country. Maybe that's why? When did you all recieve your letters? And are you all within the New York area?

Hey everyone.
I called NYU and I heard "Congratulations, you're accepted!"
However, I didn't get my admission package yet.
I live in Philadelphia, only 2 hours from NYC.
I am kind of getiting worried about the delay.
Well, anyway, it's 15mons 2nd D. BSN program..
and anyone please give me some information about..
until when I should make a deposit to ensure my seat in NYU...or
when is the orientation date?
I'm excited about meeting you all and starting studies..
Congrats you all!
