I ccant belive I passed.

WEll heres my story. Im 22, graduated in MAy 07. I started working immediatly and took my exam and failed at 215 q's. I was devasted but I chugged on and took it again on 10/25 and falied at 158 q's!!! This time I was thru I didnt start studying again in FEb 1, 08 and tok it on FEb 28, 2008 with 85 questions and passed.

Tips

1. BAsically the key to passing is trusting in GOd. You really dont know why things happen the way they do but just know that GOd has a plan for you. JUst trust in Jesus.

2. Kaplan is great I even saw 2 exact same questions on my exam. MAKe sure you do Qt1-7 and start a Rationale book. Each day do one and reveiw over every rationale and write down the ones you dont know ! And yes purchase the Q-BANK!!!

3. Question question question and also the sauders Strategy Book is GReat

4. Ask God to forgive you of all your sins and trust In GOD

YOu can Do it If I Can Im so happy

Congratulations to you!!:D

I am very happy that you passed. However, I highly doubt that god played a part in you passing the nclex. It was you who studied, and was diligent enough to take initiative and complete the kaplan questions and read the book.

So, if yo failed on your third try, would you blame god for making you fail?

Good point...on the other hand, if God is in us, all we have to do is let him answer the questions...or is that schizoaffective disorder? Personally, I like to think the universe "rewards" us for going it's way, and gives us the opportunity to retest if we don't, though the test is harder the next time.

As nurses or as future nurses we should know not to judge. The starter of this post obviously believe in God, what's wrong with that? People who believe in God don't blame "Him", instead us believers know that everything happens for a reason. Maybe the poster believed that God gave her the knowledge to pass the test and God is the one who woke her up that day to be able to take the test. That's fine if you don't believe in God but it's foolish to make a comment such as yours, especially when it's directed towards someone personal belief. I would hope that if any of your patients ever say "thank God my test for cancer came back negative", you wouldn't reply with "I highly doubt that god played a part". There isn't anything wrong with believing that God is the one who made passing the test possible!!!

BTW, congrats Crystal!!! I will also rejoice in God's name when I pass too.
