I finally get to say"I'm CPNE Eligible!"

Published

I took my last test this morning, Health Differences 2 and Passed!!!!! Oh what a relief! Now I will wait for them to update my file. I have already completed my physical, my CPR, and got my passport photo. As soon as they give the green light, I will complete my application and do my background check. I even requested my CPNE study guide and made a copy already. I am also registered for Lynn's workshop in August. Now all I have to do is clean up my messy office. I have books and EC study guides and papers everywhere.

I want to thank everyone on this board for your support and encouragement. It took we a little over 6 months to take all 8 test plus 2 repeats. If you fail a test, don't get too discouraged. Move on to the next test and pick it back up later. Now my journey starts allover again as I prepare for the CPNE. I will probably be hanging out more on the EPN board on Excelsiors website. Again thanks for everything!:heartbeat

Hey Lisa,

Where did you buy did you buy your study guide. I am looking all over for them for a decent price and I find it to be be really expensive.

Thanks!

Good Luck on your CPNE this weekend! :)

I just bought my Taylor DVD's on Half.com for $50. They have several on there

Yes, don't try to buy the DVD-style set! Mine are CD-ROMs -- there are still 17 modules, but they're much cheaper. Here's a link to where I bought mine:

It's part of the application process. I think they send it to the particular Region so that they can compare the picture to your drivers licenses when you take the test. I can't imagine anyone accepting payment to take someone's CPNE. I guess anythings possible.

That's awesome! Congrats! Curious... why do you need a passport pic???

So they know it's you. They don't compare it to your license - they comPARE both TO you.

Well, that's good to know I will be getting a passport asap! thanks guys:mad:

No, you just need the picture! Not the whole passport. :)

Don't get a passport! Just get the photo! You can do it at home. I used some website that showed me the correct dimensions of where to get the top of my head and chin in the picture. However, you can pay the money at Sears or Walmart picture places or somewhere like a Mailboxes Etc. Store. They aren't expensive at all, and they'll do them right. You don't need the whole honking passport unless you have a reason for it. :D

Not a passport just a passport photo. I went to CVS and got the photo made for eight dollars. It has 8 small pictures of me in it.

That's cool!:D It sounds like it's a lot easier to get the passport photo.

I had mine taken at Walgreens for about $7.99, they give you 2 pics in a little envelope so you can scan them for your application.

i did not know about the physical exam and now i have an appointment on july 10, and i dont know how long they are going to take for the the titer results. I am on a blue card with the local county hospital, its cheapest version of health insurance. I wanted to pay out of my pocket but since there is lab work involved, i dont want to take a chance with the bill they are going to hit me with. any suggestions. I am done with all exams except english and fcca, which they dont even offer yet. I guess I can start preparing for CPNE and put myself on cancellation list, once iam eligible. do anyone have an idea, how long does excelsior take to process an application and give a date for cpne exam.
