Hey there.. I just took my boards for the third time last friday and failed again.. At this point I don't know if I should even try again.. I have studied and did a million review questions and read the rationales.. Any advice/help or can anyone tell me more about suzannes plan.

I'm sorry...Please don't give up...Just study another way. I just took mine and I belive I failed. My test was so full of easy questions...Please try again. Try suzannes plan I've heard wonders about it...How did you previously study? analyze why you think you failed but don't give up...you will be a nurse!!!

Have you tried focusing on one review or one resource? I used to use Mosby's saunders, lippincott, and there were just too many reviews to go over and I didn't have a consistent plan. Like, I didn't have a structured way to study, until I followed Suzanne's plan. I did 100 questions every day for about 2 months, because I read the book from start to finish in May, since then I have done a combo of 100 questions. :specs:
Then when I finally felt confident for the content part, then I picked up a Kaplan book just for the strategy test taking. I felt confident in finding items that were the target of what I studied and reviewed.
Good luck to you, don't give up! I did that and wasted a whole 11 months, to finally realize nothing can get in the middle of me and my passion for nursing. I failed my exam last august, I should have kept going and re-take 45 days later....but didn't:cry:
So, I am awaiting my results:loveya:. I don't have confidence I passed, but I do have confidence of the knowledge I gained from Suzanne's plan. Try it....:heartbeat

Don't give up, take a short break before studying again. Everything regarding Suzanne's plan can be found in the sticky called https://allnurses.com/forums/f197/07-08-revision-suzanne-s-first-tip-314448.html

Hi there, i can honestly say i feel your pain. I failed the exam a few weeks ago, and will be retaking it for the second time in aug. But i am going in with a whole new attitude and outlook. I am going in with faith and belief. Which were two things i did not have before and i think that was the deciding factor. I feel like i knew enough to pass, of course i didn't know everything but i felt i knew enough. But without belief in myself and faith and knowing that God was on my side i let the evil devil beat me. I won't do it again and neither should you. You should take that test again and not let it defeat you. I know a nurse that took it 6 times before ever passing and she is a WONDERFUL nurse, one of the best on the unit. My point is don't let this test define who you are and don't let it beat you. Please don't give up, but trust me i know exactly how you feel. I
i also know how you feel, i tested for my 3rd time in march and failed at 99 questions. the 1st 2 times i tested i had 265 each time. i felt like this last time i bombed it bad!!
i even felt like giving up, and almost did. i had coworkers tell me i was great at what i was doing, to not let this one test kick me in the ass and define who i am.
after sometime of researching this website i also decided to try suzanne's plan. i had the 3rd edition saunders but decided to try with the most recent (4th edition) and have started doing suzanne's 1st tip. i am doing pretty well and should be done with her 1st tip by the middle of july (i started june 25th).
i strongly encourage you to not give up and give suzanne's plan a try. so many people have succeeded and i hope to pass at my 4th attempt in late sept or early oct.
don't give up! take a break and start fresh, don't use kaplan or any other book, just use saunders and review the rationales even if you get the answer right. i had a hard time doing that previously but have learned to read the rationale whether i answer the question correctly or not.
also the random facts thread on here has been tremendously helpful and very very supportive. look into that!

i hope this has been helpful and gives you some hope!
take care!

Please don't give up. The fact that you have taken it three times shows that you are dedicated and really care about nursing:heartbeat:redbeathe:heartbeat. It would be a great loss to you and the nursing community to lose such a dedicated individual:bluecry1:. As stated before try a structured study plan and always go with your first instinct on answering the questions. I know I have second guessed myself a thousand times when answering multiple choice questions:banghead:. Good luck to you.

Please don't give up. I'll pray for you to be given the courage to continue and have the strength to move on. Well, aside from Saunder's and Kaplan. You may try as well the NCSBN review or the Exam Cram by Pearson Vue at www.nclexreview.net I hope and pray that this will help you.
