I feel like giving up

Published

Hey there.. I just took my boards for the third time last friday and failed again.. At this point I don't know if I should even try again.. I have studied and did a million review questions and read the rationales.. Any advice/help or can anyone tell me more about suzannes plan. :bluecry1:

Don't give up you have come too far to just give up. Keep your Chin up and keep going!! You can do this!

I know how you feel, I myself have taken the exam more than three times. I too wanted to give up, but it's just a test. You can do it. Give yourself some time to grieve and when you're ready, start reviewing again. Good Luck!

Specializes in none.

I, like so many on here can totally relate to what you are feeling. :crying2: You feel like you have been kicked in the face & can't find the strength to get back up. :banghead: I failed this test twice...second time last week. I have decided to take a couple of weeks to clear my head, and give myself a break from studying. In the next week or two, I plan to get in on Suzanne's plan and study with the 4th edition Saunders. I used the 3rd edition and did the online corse on the ncsbn website.

Please don't give up and let this make you feel like nursing isn't for you. It's a written test and by far DOES NOT define you as a nurse. I know what I'm doing on the floor, I care for my patients, and I try really hard to do what is right & safe for them, as I'm sure you do. Don't let this keep you down. Take some time to clear your thoughts & then hit it hard with a new attitude and a new strategy. This test does not define you as a nurse!! Some of us do not test well, that's all. Good luck to you....you can do this!!:icon_hug:
