  1. Remember there are many others out there who have not passed and this doesn't make you less of a nurse. You can do this and don't ever doubt yourself.
  2. Don't give up you have come too far to just give up. Keep your Chin up and keep going!! You can do this!
  3. Remember you made it through nursing school... thats hard enough. You are capable of passing. Keep in mind there are many others out there who didn't pass and that doesn't make them less a nurse. Someone told me once " what do they say about the nurse who didn't pass boards? She/He is a nurse." this is just a bump in the road and you need to stay confident no matter how hard it feels right now. You can do this and you will!
  4. Don't focus on the fact you didn't pass focus on taking the test again. I don't like being lumped into a category about not passing. Each person is different and you can get through this.
  5. I am sorry you didn't pass. You are not alone! It took about 4 days before I got the information from Pearson. In my case I have to pay the state and pearson again ....
  6. The Saunders book is a great source of information. I think it really helps
  7. You are not alone in this remember that. There are so many other who have not passed their first time. It doesn't make you a failure so don't even put that in your mind. It takes some time before you can let it soak in and then pick yourself back up. I know I didn't pass my first time either. I was a straight A student and passed all my practice tests. But I know that this is not the end and that I just need to keep plugging away until I get it. Just remember your not alone and that you CAN and WILL become an RN. Chin up my friend.
  8. I definitely say Saunders. They have more information in the book thank Kaplan.
  9. I recently found out I did not pass either. I had always been the straight A student passed all the practice test but I let my anxiety get the best of me. Right now it feels like the world is closing in on you, but it gets better. You just have to pick yourself up and realize this is not the end. You will take it again and you will pass. There are many great nurses out there who have not passed the first time. Some of them I would put my life in their hands. :) Chin up
  10. I think it varies from institution what their policies are. My best friend did not pass her first time they demoted her to an aide, but she passed the second time and is now a RN.
  11. Thanks for the motivation. I recently found out I did not pass, after taking practice test after practice test that told me I would. It definitely feels like the world is going to end in the beginning but now I am all picked up and ready to begin this again. It makes me feel better that there are so many others out there that have gone through the same thing. Thanks again.
  12. The best thing that I can recommend is take a day of relaxation. Don't pick up anything the day before. Focus on calming yourself before you take the test. Do something you enjoy and relax. Get to bed early and make sure you eat breakfast in the morning. :) Have faith and confindence in yourself. I know it is hard to do when you are freaking out but you wouldnt' have made it through nursing school if you weren't good enough. Good luck
  13. My testing experience wasn't the best either. The problem didn't result from the staff but the outside noise. There were protesters outside the building which could be heard loud and clear in the testing area. I took the ear plugs that were offered to me, but they failed to keep out the noise. It was very frustrating.
  14. I think you definitely hit them :)
  15. It is good to hear that someone who did not pass has passed now :) Congrats! Give me hope
