After waiting for 72 hrs I just found out yesterday morning that I failed. All along I thought i have pass. I dont know what went wrong. I did my best I took kaplan classroom course for 3 mos, i finished saunders, im always getting good grades on my test drills and yet i failed. This is my first time for NCLEX-RN but i feel so bad. Next year i will already move to NY i just thought I will have a new career as I move their. But im still positive I will take the test again, im just waiting for the NYS educ evaluation form so i will know what went wrong.

Now, i just really dont know where to start again? Coz i devoted most of my time studying and just to find out that I fail really makes me sad. Pls can anyone help me start all over again?

You must be heart-broken.

Give Suzanne's Plan a shot. And take off from studying until you get the breakdown of where you need work.

Hi roze, i know we can do it! What materials are u using now?

Specializes in MICU, Burns, Med Surg.

I am so sorry to hear this, but take strength in knowing that this is not the last time that you can take the exam. I suggest that you take some time off and regroup. Don't focus on not passing but what you are going to do differently next time to pass. I wish you well and good luck! Hugs.

The pass rate for those that have trained in the US is about 85%. However for those that trained out of the US, the passing rate is cut in half to about 44 to 45%.

Best suggestion that I can make to you is to never spend more than three hours per day preparing. To do more and your brain is not going to retain it.

You can get thru this exam.

hi jowana..just started suzzanes plan..what books were you using before?

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

jhowanna, give yourself a week off before you start on Suzanne's plan. Remember start with her first tip and study as if you haven't sat the exam before. Good luck next time and don't give up

As all other posts have already adviced to use Suzanne's Plan. I am a firm believer (esp since just passing my boards) I was skeptical at first...BUT there is something different about her plan than others.

I'm sorry to hear about your results :icon_hug: hugs to you. Give yourself a break for awhile and then go to the sticky for Suzanne's Plan and give it a shot. It's worth it!

GOOD LUCK!! :heartbeat:heartbeat

Thanks Suzanne. The percentage really makes me sad. I understand and im just thinking if whats the difference between the education here and there in US since we're just using the same book.

I will sign up for ur plan soon once im ready, i want to be emotionally ready as well so everything will start right. Thank you so much for your help.:nuke:

Hi roze,

I went to Kaplan classroom course here in the Philippines and used the 2 books that they gave me (Course book and Basics, which are similar:nuke:), Saunder's 3rd ed and assignment, prioritization and delegation by la charity and cd's. So since i will start Suzannes plan soon too. I will discard my old books first.;) We can do this!
