My professor was going over different methods of abortion. As she got more graphic, I just started to cry. I had to leave. I'm a dork.

Your not a dork to have compassion and be sad when a living being/organism whatever you want to call it dies.

Aww, you may call yourself a dork, but at least you are a compassionate one!!! Nah, really, it is nice to see someone with a heart in class. I would have been doing the same thing...wait a minute, I just might do it when my time comes!!!
:icon_hug: to you for being so caring. Don't lose it!!!

I had to leave during a video about children with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome in my Human Growth class, I was just too upset. It's ok, you are only human

That's completely understandable. I didn't walk out but I felt a little creeped out in my Anatomy lab this past spring. The teacher was going over the vertebral column, and how some of the curves develop after birth. He had a fetal skeleton on his front desk, and he mentioned part way through class that it was real and from a miscarriage.

I know people who did abortion and Im dont agree with this particular method but I dont put down those people because they are just humans, everyone makes horrible mistakes and these people do have very deep regrets about the wrong choice they made...

My weak spot is animals. I nearly cried in A&P II, in lab, when my instructor passed out the cats for us to dissect, because he told us that they are still alive when they pump the latex into the veins and arteries. I do understand that these are teaching tools, but it was just too much. I skipped the rest of the labs involving the cats and studied my lab text pictures instead. Still managed to get an A.
I wish I could save all the kitties in the world, I guess.

I cried in AP1 lab on the first day of class. We were dissecting mice and we got its chest open to find its little heart still beating. Turns out 75% of them didn't get enough ether. There were plenty of tears in lab that day
Cardiac muscle fibers are self stimulatling....a heart can beat outside one's body, so it could be that the mouse was "dead"..........don't know if this is very comforting.
