I scored a 75% cumulative on my entrance exam but my school requires at least an 80%. However, they still considered me because I have 4.0 GPA with 53 credit hours and I'm an honors student with a lengthy list of community service.
But instead of them just accepting me outright they instead gave me the options of either take an assement test and score a 80% or higher then be admitted to the program, or be wait listed for the next two years.
And because I did not want to get wait listed or wait another year to reapply, I chose instead to take the assement test and cheated on it because it was unproctored. I was the only person in the room testing and the lady who was suppose to monitor me left the room for some unknown reason for up to an hour. I don't think she knew that this was considered the "MCAT" for me in a way.
So while she was gone that whole hour I cheated my way through the test by using my phone and the internet and scored a 90% overall. I just received the call today after 6 days from taking test that I am accepted into the nursing program. The assessment test took place at another institution, so if it was not I would have never been able to get away with something like this.
if you are legit.....shame on you. You will have lives of people resting in your hands. Cheating is wrong. Period. I don't care what anyone else says. It is wrong. If you will cheat on this exam, it begs the question: "What else have you cheated on?" "What else are you willing to cheat on?". If you have any integrity at all, and are sincere about wanting to "get it off" of your chest, then the next step is for you to notify the school. The system of testing also failed in that if you were supposed to be proctored and were not, the testing agency needs to know. Do the right thing.
I woud've never in a million years think that i could have ever cheated on a test like this. It was mainly because I recently gotten my phone stolen out of work locker so I had to purchase a work phone for the time being. So when that security gaurd ask my for any electronicd I had on me, I just gave him my work phone and tablet and wanted to protect my new phone at all cost because I was not going to go through that again.
And this is our future nurse? If you wanted to get it off of your chest, you should have went to mass. (I am not catholic btw)
One thing I always tell new nurses is.....You will make a mistake, it is inevitable. The important thing is DON'T COVER IT UP, tell someone so measures can be taken to keep the patient safe from harm.
It is ultimately your decision to tell the school, is this the kind of nurse you aspire to be?
Guys I can't tell the school because I could probably go to jail and never be a nuse.
Exactly what part of cheating on a test is criminal? Jail is for people who commit actual crimes. Cheating is bad ethics, sure, but as far as I am aware it's not an actual crime.
Of course you wouldn't be able to be a nurse - that's the whole point the previous posters are trying to make. Nobody wants a cheater for their nurse.

If your plan wasn't to cheat then why didn't you give them both phones?
So you cheated, now you got into a nursing program undeservingly. You need to tell the school.
