I thought I would start a thread for those who have applied, do that we can keep each other posted on what is going on with the process. Also here to promote tons of positivity for everyone.
I've applied this year and the waiting is killing me. $73,000.00 in student loan debt for my nursing education (which doesn't include the $8000 left over from a previous degree) has left me on the brink of financial ruin (Johns Hopkins....priciest school ever). Don't get me wrong...it was worth it...I just somethings think it would've been wiser going to get my AA and then have my employer pay for my BSN. I will most assuredly have a stress ulcer if I don't hear anything until the end of September. Ah well, it would be a really nice birthday present if I got an award (Sept. 29th is my big day). Anyhoo....good luck to all...just needed to vent.

I hear you on that
wow... i love this thread! i'm applying for next year and i really hope i get it... and i'll be like all of you!! By the time i'll have claimed myself on my income tax so i'll have no income from my parents. I'll have worked the year before so that'll be reflected on my income tax... i read up above that someone didn't get the scholarship because they had income coming in from work... God i hope this isnt' true... someone let me know if ur maybe in the same boat as me) thanks!
Just wondering - you are mostly likely to get the scholarship if you were unemployed the previous year? I hope to apply to the scholarship next year. Good luck with your application
