I thought I would start a thread for those who have applied, do that we can keep each other posted on what is going on with the process. Also here to promote tons of positivity for everyone.

I heard a rumor that when you log in to see your status on the first page, the dead giveaway that decisions will have been made is the modify your profile link will not be highlighted for revisions. It makes sense because they probably don't people going in and changing their phone numbers/addresses when they are about to send out notifications.

I checked that out,the link is still working. Interesting rumor though. :up:

Yes, the modify your profile link is supposed to be deactivated when awards go out but its still working.

Someone else want to call the call center and see when they say award letters will go out? 1-800-221-9393

I am waiting a week to call because I don't want my file marked obsessive complusive.

At first my application said incomplete and some asian lady called me about 2 weeks ago and she changed it to under review so I was soo relieved. So now I guess it's the waiting game because I really need this scholarship although I do have a back up one.:D

wow... i love this thread! i'm applying for next year and i really hope i get it... and i'll be like all of you!! By the time i'll have claimed myself on my income tax so i'll have no income from my parents. I'll have worked the year before so that'll be reflected on my income tax... i read up above that someone didn't get the scholarship because they had income coming in from work... God i hope this isnt' true... someone let me know if ur maybe in the same boat as me :o) thanks!

Nope. Have not heard anything. I called the call center and received the same response "notifications will be mailed out between July and September if awarded the scholarship and October for those who are not awarded. This waiting really sucks.:banghead:

I wonder what the steps of the whole process are that makes it take months to complete/decide.

i copied this statement from the hrsa site, so the rumor about the disabled link is true. also from checking out last years hrsa thread on this site most people did not find out until september. so we just need to sit tight, keep each other posted and stay positive. good luck to everyone.:)

please assist us to keep in touch with you by ensuring we have any changes to your contact information during the application cycle. once awardees have been chosen, this link will be disabled. awardees must change contact information in the payroll application..

I just don't understand why all the mystery and confusion behind this scholarship. I definitely see why more people don't apply for it because it is stressful to have to deal with this from may to september it really is rediculous. But at the same time it would be a godsend to recieve this scholarship because I could finish my last 2 years with no financial worries.:typing.
