I know it is entirely too early but I wanted to get a thread going for all of you who are planning to apply for the NSP this upcoming year. I know it is becoming more and more popular and there are always questions and people wanting to share experiences and such so I hope this thread will become helpful! I have signed up to get the alert for when the application is available for the 2013-2014 FY and hope to meet others who will be applying as well.

The other "notification services" did not show an inquiry for my friend, but, then she checked on annualcreditreport.com and saw that her credit history was checked today by:

cbc/dhhs/bphc

and cbcinnovis

okay, thank you for letting us know! I am currently using freecreditscore.com I don't know how great they are at pinning down checks tho. But if I don't hear anything within this week, I'll probably sign up for http://www.annualcreditreport.com !

While we are waiting for any news do you all mind sharing your program you are starting or are currently enrolled in and what part of the country you are from?!

I am starting an entry level MSN program in the Fall (excited and nervous) and I am in California :) I believe I fall in the 3rd funding preference because I am not in an NP program but I do have an EFC 0.

I'm 2 months into my 12 month Accelerated BSN program (crazy stuff)! And I'm in Missouri. This will be my 2nd degree but I also have a EFC of 0.

Hello! I'm from Florida and starting a nursing program at Duke University. I believe that this year, it doesn't matter what your EFC is, as long as it falls below the 5500 mark (this is what the program guidance brochure stated and what I was told over the phone).

Hello everyone!!!!! I monitor my credit regularly and received a notification that my credit report had changed. I logged on and behold CBC/DHHS/BPHC requested a copy of my credit report. Has anyone received anything?

It's strange---I've been checking creditkarma.com like a mad-woman, and haven't seen any credit inquiries...but when I just got an account with another free credit report site (quizzle.com) they reported that I had my credit pulled on July 15th by CBC something something....Whatever it was was listed as "federal government", so I imagine it's the HRSA folks.

For those of you going crazy about this (like me) I'd suggest trying a couple of different credit check sites, just make sure they're not the ones that lower your credit score by checking.

Quizzle was not accurate for me (didn't show all of my student loan inquiries and the credit check ran by my apartment in April), and Credit Karma showed those... So I'm not sure if my credit has been pulled yet. Any other sites?
