HRSA Nurse Corps Scholarship 2020-2021

Published

I havent seen a thread yet on this year's nurse corps application cycle & my anxiety has made me start one. I'm finishing up my application and should be done with it by today. I know its extremely competitive so honestly I dont think I'll get it but its worth a try! Who else has applied/is applying?

I applied as well on April 28th. I’m going for my ASN I’m nervous and I hope I receive the scholarship it would help me so much!

I mean my ADN

I'm also an ABSN applicant. Crossing my fingers very tight as this scholarship for me means the difference between attending or not, more or less.

I know two people who have gotten the scholarship and two who did not. Of the two who got it, one was an ABSN student, and one is a regular BSN student. Of the two who didn't get it, one had an EFC above the tier 1 threshold and the other was a diploma program student (she thinks that is why she didn't get it).

Anyway... good luck to all!

same! I really really need this but am starting my program next week so hopefully I get it and don’t have to worry about fisncing the rest of my semesters. my efc for the upcoming academic year is zero and I have some healthcare experience & worked at a fqhc (but had to leave because of school) what’s your back ground? fingers crossed for us all!

@PublicHealthNurse96 My background is mostly social justice/environmental activism and some humanitarian aid work. I have good grades and my EFC is zero. My only concern is that one of my recommenders didn't put a signature (electronic or handwritten) on her letter for me--she just typed her name. She shared the letter with me after the application closed and I'm terrified that my application will get rejected because of this tiny error... If so, I just want to know before I start classes! ? But, oh well, we can't control everything in this crazy world... I'm going to just try to forget about it and, in the meantime, apply for other scholarships.

I hope you get it! Best of luck in your program. ?

Did anyone in a direct entry Nursing program apply? I hope there are some scholarships for DEN students!! Fingers crossed!

Yaaaaay! I finally found a thread! I have been searching and unable to find one LOL. I applied as well and really hoping to hear something soon. I did hear people found out in September in the previous years, prayerfully this isn't the case for us. Good luck everyone :-)
