HRSA Nurse Corp Loan Repayment Program 2023

Updated:   Published

Hello fellow RN's/APRN's,

Just finished my application for the HRSA Nurse Corp Loan Repayment Program 2023 program! Nervous but excited to see what comes of it, I see that the competition is extreme but it looks like over the past few years they've been given more funding to award!

Question as well: Does disadvantaged background apply to RN/APRN's applying or only to nurse faculty? I included the form anyway, just in case it helped my case as I am the first in my family to attend college.

Here are my qualifiers:

FNP-C

Behavioral Health - Pediatrics

DTI <100% - Just at 0.95%  (This is the total qualifying education loan balance divided by base annual salary)

HPSA Score: 13

Best of luck everyone!

Click on the link to view your contract and then look at the document; the counter signature should be all the way at the bottom.

Thank you! I'll check mine. I've not received anything via email but I'll see if I have the same link.

I have the HRSA award but was I suppose the to sign this contract? I guess my question is who signs the contract first?

You are. If you haven't signed the contract and it's passed the allotted time, you might've forfeited it.

You probably signed it electronically. Scroll to the second page and see if it indicates an electronic signature. I signed mine, but it does not have a second signature yet.

Any nurse faculty with updates on the NC LRP?

Yes, I did.

Hey all,

Long time lurker and decided to find the password to my account to take part in this thread.

Just got my cosignature today, 9/7, accepted award on 8/7.

Best of luck to all and I hope we one day live in a world where people who dedicate their lives to others don't have debt at all!

Yay!  I'm still waiting on my co-signature. Hopefully I'll get it exactly a month after accepting like you did.

Just checked, and I received my cosignature this morning as well. I accepted on 8/9.

Is this essentially a guarantee??

I am no expert but, the contract says contract date starts the day you get a co signature.

So is it not true that if they pull your credit, you should be a finalist.  I had mine pulled 2 times. I am getting very discouraged because I have not heard anything yet and looking at all the post my DTI is  higher than most that got accepted and my HRSA score is also.

No, this isn't true. It is my understanding that they check your credit to make sure you haven't defaulted on any of your qualifying loans. If you apply for more than one loan forgiveness program, I believe you will have more credit checks because each group will verify your loans.
