  1. Second year applicant here. I do not expect to receive an award given the low number they will give this year. I, too, had my credit checked last year and this year, both times in May. From my research, this is just standard and is just a part of the process.
  2. No, this isn't true. It is my understanding that they check your credit to make sure you haven't defaulted on any of your qualifying loans. If you apply for more than one loan forgiveness program, I believe you will have more credit checks because each group will verify your loans.
  3. What do you mean NPs have already received their updates? I am an NP and I haven't received a decision.
  4. Do you think maybe you have two credit checks since you applied for both programs? Just a guess. I've never seen where anyone has had two, but I figured the organizations would be able to share your info but maybe not.
  5. When was your original credit check?
  6. Hey there! I was wondering if there has been any more news out there concerning finalists. I received a credit check May 31st and my application still says "under review". Is the credit check even significant? I've seen conflicting information about that. I'm a WHNP but provide Women's Health in a primary setting. On my application it asked if I was working in a women's health/obgyn facility and I marked no considering it's technically a family practice. This is my first time applying and I figured the only thing really helping me was women's health. DTI <100% with a facility score of 17 so I believe I'm tier 2.
