When you're stressed & surrounded by endless goodies!!
Continuing to exercise. Even if injured. I am currently dealing with a bout of hip bursitis and shin splints from running and have started swimming in place of it.
Exercise is huge, I think. And I;m following weight watchers so I just add the points and journal everything I eat. I still eat the goodies, if that's what I want, but I don;t go over points. i'm still losing despite the holidays and despite my partaking in the treats.
I think just take it day by day . . . don't freak out if you have a bad day. And try to get some kind of exercise. That really helps me not overeat. Sometimes though - like last night when I made Thai chicken . . . it was so good. I ate more than I should, even though I served mine over broccoli instead of rice.
Today I had an Atkins shake for breakfast and lentil soup for lunch. I took some of my ds's French Fries from McDonalds . .(his reward for saying the Pledge of Allegiance at school today in front of the local Sheriffs).
Exercise is mental therapy for me.

Steph please don't tell me you rewarded your child with McDonalds! Bad girl.(Pass me some of those fries.)

This is the second time all year that I took him for a fast food burger (the other time was at Burger King).
I asked him what he wanted to do and he said McDonalds.

Well, I just started Weight Watchers online yesterday. I'm so nervous and afraid of failure. I gained a whopping 50 lbs during nursing school, and Im soo desperate to loose the weight.
I have done a search here for anybody on weight watchers, but there is nothing current. Has anybody tried WW and had any luck? Please share your stories because I need support!

I didn't having any luck with WW. However, when I went to Overeaters anonymous I lost 125 pounds.

Oh. God. Cannoli.
Now I'm drooling.
I conciously think about what I'm putting in my mouth. If I notice I'm eating alot of carbs in one day, I ask myself why, and then stop.
I usually don't eat what is left out at work - I picture cookies with little red horns on it and keep walking. It also helps that we have been super busy at work and I don't have time to pee let alone chew a cookie.
Before I go to any parties, I always eat at home so I'm not nibbling there. Just can't seem to stop drinking at those things though. :uhoh21: One thing at a time.
