I just got my first nursing paycheck and didn't spend it on anything interesting. I used half of it towards my student loans and the other half I used on a shopping trip because I've had the same wardrobe for the past four years and I didn't have very many clothes besides scrubs. I'm curious to know how other people spent their first nursing paycheck :)
I'm a newly licensed nurse (still jobless) but when I do get that first paycheck, its be going to be spent on a gift for my mom. She was so supportive of me all through my nursing school journey. I wouldn't be a nurse if it wasn't for her. There's no better way to spend that paycheck than something for her. and then its going to student loans, car payments, and all other not-fun stuff.

That's so sweet!!!
I would really like to start saving for a new car and a gift for my SO who so faithfully supported me through all of the nonsense with nursing school. She deserves something truly spiffy. I just have to wait to get back on my feet bills-wise before I can splurge on her the way she deserves.

Bills, bills, bills.
One of the nurses at work must think I'm like 17 and still live with my parents because she didn't believe me when I said that I was going to be contributing fully to household bills once again like I used to at my old job. She wanted a 'report' on all the wonderful things I would be spending my paycheck on. I'm just out here trying to function, y'all. Got that mortgage like whoa.
