Took the beastly med surg exam today... and now comes the waiting game for grades. They won't be up until Sunday/Monday which just seems DECADES away at this point. I know there is nothing I can do, and seeing my grade sooner won't change what the # is, but I am just SO impatient!! Luckily I am scheduled to work quite a bit on Friday and Saturday so I'm hoping to find lots to do there to keep me busy....
Do you do anything to relax or distract yourself in these days while waiting for that fateful grade to be posted?

Honestly, get used to it because you will never become relaxed while waiting for grades to post. I think this gets you ready for the day when you are anxiously waiting for those NCLEX results to post!
Good luck!

I think that it's horrible that you have to wait so long to get your grades. In my program, we answer both in the test book and on a Scantron sheet. After the exam is finished, we all go somewhere else while our instructor scans the sheets. Within fifteen minutes, she is back with our preliminary grade. If we feel that this grade doesn't reflect our score, we can request that she pay careful attention to our booklet when she reviews all the booklets by writing something on the front of the booklet. The only time my preliminary grade has changed has been in a few cases when test questions were thrown out. I have logged onto Moodle, the online class system used by my program, and seen that my grade had gone up by two or three points. As far as what to do while you're waiting, I'm not sure. For me, there wouldn't be anything that would make me feel better. The only thing I could do would be to distract myself as much as possible. I suppose getting on All Nurses, spending time with your family, watching TV, and trying to relax are the best options.

My favorite thing at the moment, in keeping with the season, is a hot toddy-esque drink.
Caffeine-free tea with some whiskey or rum, and a little bit of honey, and you'll
be so relaxed grades will be a distant memory.
