I have a few questions about scrubs.
What are your favorite brands to wear? Do you consider your favorite brand affordable? Which price would you prefer to pay for good quality scrubs? Also what are your favorite scrub colors to wear?
Any answers to these questions are greatly appreciated. Thank you

I used to go really cheap for my scrubs and was ahuge fan for ScrubStar sold exclusively at Walmart ran about $20.00 per piece. They were stain resistant and never needed ironing. I never got into high end designer scrubs until about 4 years ago when I started wearing FitScrubs. They are pricey at about $100.00 per set but they last forever, are stain and microbe resistant.never need to be ironed and are super comfy They have sales a couple of times a year.

My favorite brand is Figs, fairly expensive but worth it. The only thing I don't love about them is they don't have as big a variety of styles as some brands. There's only one top I like for instance as I just can't get behind buying/wearing a one breast pocket scrub top, I need pockets for my stuff! The other disadvantage of buying a brand not readily available in stores is figuring out your best sizing, there's no trying on before you buy.
As far as colors, anything solid and fairly neutral is what I find myself buying. I stay away from bright colors/prints because I think the more neutral solids are more professional, but that's just a personal preference. You might very well find depending on where you work you are locked in to wearing the color your employer chooses like it or not.

I buy Uniform Advantage Butter Soft. Inexpensive, and because bleach, and occasionally blood, are everywhere in the dialysis setting. Nice solids and prints, various styles
Thank you all for responding. I am interested in purchasing more expensive scrubs but I wanted to know if others actually found it worth it.

I’m older and my body hurts. I’m willing to pay upwards of $120 for a good comfortable top, pants, and jacket.

With my aches and pains, I'm more interested in great shoes and compression socks. Luckily, I don't have skin issues that affect how materials feel against my skin

Figs has always been my go-to brand and I actually started wearing them when they were just tiny scrub company years ago. They cater to short and tall people so you can easily pick a pants as close to your height. Most of their stuff lean towards the fit, or slim fit body types so you may need to adjust your size. I love their joggers, but I recently picked up their trouser pants and it's by far the best scrub-like purchase. It's stretchy, has the feel of a scrub pants, but it looks like slacks so I use it as both. I also like their colors, very clean looking if that makes any sense. I always run black, navy blue, and that pewter gray. Figs are pricey, but it's just like buying any other brand clothing brand. I only buy Figs when they are on sale just as I did this past black Friday.

You have to buy your own scrubs in the US? The hospitals don't provide them? ?

They’re provided in the Operating Room, for sanitation purposes. It should really be that way in all units, but it is not.
That said, a hospital will only buy uncomfortable awful scrubs and not the nice stuff I like.

Great shame, and I think possibly underlines the fundamental differences in our systems. I've always had comfortable workwear provided on site everywhere I've ever worked in the clinical area (in the United Kingdom and now in France). There are even scrubs for the visiting agency nurses.
