I was wondering how much states charge for renewal of licenses. I am an RN and Indiana charges $50 during the year in which you renew. We renew every other year in Indiana. LPN's in the even years, RN's in odd years. I think LPN licenses are the same as RN's. I am curious to see how much other states charge. I know Indiana will sock you with a $50 late fee also. A couple of my friends got nailed with that. Ouch.
Indiana probably increase their fees because of the lousy financial situation the state is in. Everything has gone up in the state. State park entrance fees, hunting & fishing licenses, and anything else the state has control over. I just don't understand it. Several years ago when Evan Bayh was our govenor, the state had an unprecented surplus. Now we are so far down in the red, I don't know if the state will ever get back on solid footing. I know that a lot of other states are experiencing the same situations.

OK - very differnt money here - in as much your dollar is worth more
Have to try and remember -
35 or 40 for New south wales (Your Equivalant - approx 20)
Similar L think for Victoria - but havent registered there for a couple of years - if we are late there is a fine - cant work if not registered needless to say - if loike me live on a border and have in the past worked both sides of the border part time - have to be licenesed on both sides - - pain in the neck to be working only 10 KS (approx 7 miles) apart and require 2 registrations - a border problem)
California here. 80.00 plus the trip to the bank for the money order, the post office for registered mail return receipt requested, and about 3.00 to mail it. (that way, when the PO looses it, or doesn't deliver in a timely manner, I'm still covered by hte MO and RRR paperwork and can still work, my boss is a real stickler for this. Oh yes, and 30 CEU's, most all of which can be obtained by mail.

illinois is 50 dollars every two years. That is probably why indiana increased theirs to 50 dollars, there are many nurses interchanged between illinois and indiana.
