I'm just curious...
Salaries varies from state to state, as well as the years of experience, and the area of specialty, right? How much is your pay per month? :heartbeat :heartbeat
in western ny (buffalo, niagara falls area) new grads are getting about $21-$23/hr. nursing jobs here are fairly easy to come by as many young western new yorkers have decided to relocate after college. cost of living is pretty low so it's not too bad. you can still get a halfway decent house in the 'burbs for 100k or less in some areas.
I am in Hampton Roads Virginia. I am a new nurse with 11 months of experience. I work the 3pm-11pm shift. My base (with a recent raise) is $20.64/hr with a shift diff of $8.00/hr. Total: $28.64/hr. BTW, I work on a Telemetry/Med-surg unit. I know I could go to other states and make more, but in the end, it equals out because of cost of living.
