Even though I know my program was highly over priced reading these threads makes me feel like I paid more than most people do. My program was $28,000 and I graduated in 2010. How much was your program and what year did you graduate?
Reading these threads makes me realize how happy I am to live where I do. The expensive private LPN course near me is about $10,000 and the community college one I applied to and hope to start in January is $3000. No that is not a typo and I did not forget a zero.
I just can't imagine spending multiple tens of thousands of dollars for a degree that has such limited enjoyment prospects and frankly, compared to RN, low pay. Seems crazy to me.
For the 32-34,000 mentioned in the last post, you could be 3/4 of the way to a BSN here in Arizona.
My LPN program costs about $32-34,000 (give or take) with books and uniforms included and they pay like 75% of board fees. But thanks to grants and financial aid I only gotta pay like $14,000. Seems like my school is way over priced
For that amount of money, I would have to be guaranteed to pass the NCLEX blindfolded and drunk.
Two semesters at 11 credits per semester. 82$ a credit totaled 1804. Then I avoided the book "bundle for $500 the school was selling and bought my books online used for $125. The best part is in my new LPN job I will get every dime back within two paychecks :) I paid out of pocket and well worth it.

Not sure of the exact costs yet but it's $1,331 a semester for three semesters totaling $3,993. So even with books, uniforms and supplies it shouldn't be more than $6,000.
