How many of us 30 somethings are out there?

I am just curious. I am 37 and will be taking my last pre-req in January for the nursing program at my local community college. I have noticed many people here are over 30, so I wanted to just blurt out the question. How many of us 30 somethings are making a career change into Nursing?

I'm 37 and making a career change, but I still work in an office for now.

I just turned 31 last month!!! I am a mom of a 2 year old, currently work at a large Pharma company as an admin and I am taking my classes at night. I am done with my pre-req's and I will hopefully be starting my Nursing classes in the spring!

Just turned 36 and I start clinicals in one week! I am a mommy and I worked in retail for years. I HATE retail!

I'll be 34 in October and I just started doing my pre-reqs. I'm hoping to get into an Accelerated BSN program by May 2009! :w00t:

me too!!! turned 31 in april (I usually don't admit that, I tell people I'm 26 it was a good year so I stuck to it) going in to second year of NS should graduate on june 21 2008

I'll be 33 next month but started my pre-reqs at age 30. I'm now working as a home care assistant and will be taking my cna certification exam in november. Hopefully I'll be starting an RN program in the fall of 08!!!

Me!!! I am 33 with kids under the age of 3. I start my pre-reqs in the spring. Hopefully I will get in to the Accelerated BSN program in the spring of 2009.

Missed it by 10 months! 29 until next June, but I'll be 30 when I start the nursing classes. Prereqs this Fall/Spring.

Okay, so I've always considered myself something of a late bloomer . Didn't get married until I was 32 :imbar, first pregnancy (twins) later that year . Started pre-req's when kiddos were 4 months. Had third son at 34 :uhoh21:. Finished pre-reqs at 36, FINALLY got into NS at 38 :yelclap:. Just turned 39 and will finish second year ADN at 40 :smiley_aa. Will segue into BSN program which I will finish at 41:balloons:. Planning on CRNA school soon after that:monkeydance:.

I just figure that I'm going to be X number of years old ANYWAYS, so I'm not going to let a number get in the way of something I want to do. Just my take on the whole age "thang" .

I'm 34 and just started nursing school. I'll graduate and pass the boards in November of 09! I figured Nov 09 was still coming either way, and why should'nt I finally start something that I have been considering for years? My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner!
