How have you expressed your displeasure about their choice? Are you questioning why they have not been terminated yet?

That's interesting. Do you happen to have a source for that? I have met a couple of employees while administering vaccines who had some truly legit concerns over the vaccine, and I'd like to look into this further.
I tend to think employers are staring down an impending staffing shortage and are suddenly reconsidering vaccine mandates.

That’s what I’ve learned so far..But everyone has their own perspective.
Thank you for responding. I appreciate the information. I haven't had anyone explain to me and yes everyone is a little different with info.

Unvaccinated people are risking their lives, their health, their employment...and they are putting at risk their close contacts, those community members who are legitimately unable to vaccinate, the safety of the work environment and the economic stability of the region they live in. Remaining unvaccinated at this time is not altruistic or patriotic.
OK I understand some of what you said but I'm still confused on one part. Can you pass the virus to other people if you are vaccinated?

If you chose to get the shot, why are you concerned about what others do?
This is being turned into an “us against them”. That is dumbfounding and should be unacceptable. We all worked quiet well together pre shot…How dare this profession question autonomy when we are to be advocating just that with our patients.
Uhhhhh. Because I want to protect myself from getting Covid and would take measures against unnecessary exposure.

A Nazi (yes, it is capitalized) would knock you to the ground, tie you up and vaccinate you. You are given the opportunity to 1. not be knocked to the ground and 2. not be vaccinated. If you have to leave your job for another one, you are free to do that. Also, you belittle people who had to live under real Nazis and trivialize the demons that they were. I do not to be confined to a work environment with unvaccinated people and one of the few rights I have is the ability to pursue life.

Yes. If you are vaccinated and become infected with covid you can get infected and you can spread disease. Vaccines DO NOT PREVENT EXPOSURE to contagions. Vaccinated individuals quickly mount an appropriate immune response and viral replication is adversely impacted. This means that the vast majority of breakthrough infections are mild and not associated with significant shedding of the contagion to others.
Unvaccinated people are gambling that they won't get terribly ill, that they won't have untoward aftermath from viral illness, that they won't share the disease with many others, that they'll be able to keep their job...
The vaccines are safe and effective.

The evidence demonstrates that employer mandates increase rates of vaccination. That is the public health objective, to increase the number of vaccinated individuals in every workplace and every community.
The debate isn't really about the purpose and value of vaccination or the effectiveness of mandates in the midst of a pandemic. The debate is about other issues, right?

Thank you for explaining that. ??? I got the vaccine and I'm just thinking about the reasons why we got it and why some people choose not to. My brain likes to think of every possible situation or outcome. It's never a straight line. I'm outweighing why because a person can refuse life saving treatments and people have to honor it but cannot refuse the vaccine. It's a sensitive subject and some people got upset with my question but it's OK. For those people, you don't have to feel like everyone is attacking you and your beliefs, we are just looking for knowledge.
