How many students did your nursing program accept for your class?

Published

i will be attending UAMS in little rock, arkansas and last year they accepted 140 students and this year...205:banghead: i mean...this is the most they have EVER accepted so i'm getting really really nervous...anyone else out there????

Specializes in hospice.

36 for the summer (which includes me, yay!), 60 for the fall. Over 800 people applied for those two semesters. :uhoh3:

I think it's also 60 for the spring, but I'm not sure on that number.

I just got an acceptance letter this week...

There were about 500-600 applications and 110 seats available for the year.

24 once a year in the fall. ADN program at a community college:onbch:

Specializes in acute care.

I think 100+ per semester, maybe a tad less students start in the spring.

168 for Fall... which is when I plan on applying. I hope I get in for Fall because if not they only accept 144 for Spring and 96 for Summer. I know that's more than most schools, but my school doesn't do interviews they base admissions solely on GPA and test scores and then only take the top applicants (and there are TONS of applicants) each semester. So if I don't get in for Fall, I'm basically screwed. :chuckle Here's hoping I get in for Fall. :D

200 applied for 80 spots

As of 2007-2008 period : San Francisco State University’s School of Nursing receives 800+ applications for the BSN program each year. Only 80 are admitted each Fall semester.:uhoh3:

I should add:

SFSU’s School of Nursing ONLY admits for Fall semester for the BSN program. However, only 40 students begin their nursing

coursework in the Fall semester. The other 40 students begin their nursing coursework in the following Spring semester. Therefore,

it can take students anywhere from 2.5 – 3 years to complete the BSN coursework.
