How many people are in your nursing class?

I just went to check out my nursing roster and there are only 19 people starting my program in the fall! I don't know if they only had that many meet requirements or what. I thought in previous terms they accepted 40 but we only have 19 this year. Idk why but I cant complain about a small class size. How many are in your class? Id this strange to only have this many starting a class?

We started with 24 and are down to 18. But part of that was augmented by students added to the class along the way because they are retaking the semester or returning from a leave of absence

We also have a 99% graduation rate for our school, so hopefully we won't lose very many.

Yes, my school also has a very high graduation rate, but I wonder when they start counting. Obviously not first semester since we lost 8 along the way in the last year.

72 new students in this years class. 6 12 person clinical groups.

Specializes in hospice, HH, LTC, ER,OR.

LPN school it was 27 of us and 16 graduated. RN school it was 200 of us. Yes 200, about 140 something graduated May 11th.

Not enough men. Just me. 30 I believe including myself

Um we had 17 start. We will see how many are left tomorrow when we start the next quarter. I am guessing 14\15. I hope at least... its sad to see people fail out.

Specializes in ICU.

This was years ago, but 24 people were accepted into the program and 23 actually started the program. We ended up graduating 11.

Very intimate class.

My class started with 20 and ended up with 17- one person showed up the first day and then never came again- the other 2 left due to circumstances outside of grades. The smaller the class, the more one on one time you get- the more practice time in lab- better clinical experience, etc... Be glad you are in a small class- it really is a blessing! Good luck!

I think it was in the 90s or 100s in the beginning. Down to about 70 now!!

Our university has 21,000. Even our community college has 19,000 students.

From what I have seen of our roster, we have all 50 admitted students in lecture, and 8 or 9 in each clinical class.
