I just went to check out my nursing roster and there are only 19 people starting my program in the fall! I don't know if they only had that many meet requirements or what. I thought in previous terms they accepted 40 but we only have 19 this year. Idk why but I cant complain about a small class size. How many are in your class? Id this strange to only have this many starting a class?
How many people overall attend the college/university you attend? My university has 7000.
I'm not sure how many total students. It's a community college with three campuses. The campus I'm attending only accepts 8 nursing students every two years, only one nursing class at a time. The main campus accepts 50 every fall.
My original cohort started with 32. Two dropped out, two failed out that first semester, leaving 28. One failed the 3rd semester, and 1 (maybe 2) failed the 4th semester. Of those that failed either 3rd or 4th, certainly 2, possibly all 3 were re-admitted. Of my entire original cohort, 28 will eventually complete the program.
My current cohort will go from about 30 to about 40 as we'll be gaining a group of LVN -> RN students, and therefore adding a 4th clinical group.
