  1. My school takes 40 each semester! About 20-30 graduate from the original 40 we are all ready down to 30 and we haven't even been through our toughest semester yet! People don't just fail out though some leave upon their own accord.
  2. The new grading scale! I honestly don't think nursing is that difficult, but getting better than a 93% is very difficult!! 30 question exams worth 70pts and you only have three and then you get 50 question final over 50+chapters of material! No room for silly mistakes!!
  3. It took my place of employment a week and a half to get my background check and references completed. The whole process took about three and a half weeks before I even got to start new hire orientation. Also on the day to go in and feel out paperwork I wore business casual kaki slacks and a nice blouse. Congrats on the job!
  4. I have new hire orientation coming up on Monday and am very excited!! I feel this will be an excellent opportunity while I am still in nursing school ( only 3 semesters to go ). It is float pool per diem position. Any tips or advice before I start!?
  5. * you may only miss one question per exam* man it's getting too late??
  6. I am so jealous of people with a regular grading scale! You have to make a 94 or better for an A! No rounding. Typically we only have 25 question exams and that means you can only miss two questions to even get an A. I only have made 1 B and the rest have been A but it has been tough!
  7. If these posts bother you so much, why not skip over them? Why even waste your time commenting on them? Just my two cents!
  8. I post my grades because I am proud of myself for doing so well!! Also, I have some family that keep up with me through my fb and they like to know how I am doing!!!:) If my "friends" don't like it, then they know where the delete button is!
  9. Second semester of five Pharm Foundations of nursing lecture Foundations of nursing clinical Nursing skills lecture Nursing skills lab
  10. You said you don't want to be belittled, yet you stated "I would love to be 20 and do it" that doesn't necessarily make it easier. I am 20 and have a 4.0 in my nursing program and feel like because that your statement makes me feel belittled. No sorry it is not easier, because I'm 20. I work hard to maintain my grades and give up doing things with friends and family to study. Just thought I would let you know it works both ways. Sorry for typos on my phone.
  11. Thanks for the advice guys! I think I will confront the student in a nice way and if that does not work take the issue up with the professor. It is only the second week so hopefully she will get the ball rolling soon!
  12. There is always one student in every class that has to ask a question every 5 minutes! In one of my hardest classes we got through 3 slides in 3 hours! We can't even cover the material because this one student can't help but share EVERY personal story! I am so worried about our first exam because we haven't really covered much.
