Are most LVN jobs in nursing homes?
I work in a pediatrics doctor's office! It's FABULOUS!
-
I hate it
If you feel your license/ safety/wellbeing is in danger then you have every right to find a new opportunity you would be more comfortable working in, it doesn't hurt to look around and apply to new places even if it's only been 2 months you still have experience and you now know a little more about what not to do as a nurse and future employers will understand that and like the fact that you wanted a better opportunity/ place to work because of those reasons
-
What do you so to relax from nursing school?
YES there's a TON of reading already involved in school just a forwarning...you may eventually reading "for fun," tends to decline
-
What was your first LPN job?l
Pediatric Office, although I also work PRN in a LTC facility
-
"Doing too much"
Who cares what your neighbor says....like you said she has nothing to show for herself. I am also 23 recently earned my LPN license and now work as a peds nurse. Planning to go on to the RN bridge program once I get those pesky pre-req's out of the way. Keep up the good work! Best of luck to you in your studies!

Will I be Stuck in LTC???
Take the job for the experience, work there for a few months until a better opportunity comes your way, in the mean time you have something to add to your resume that will look good after coming out of nursing school...not everyone gets their #1 choice fresh out of school but you will have an opportunity to network and find what you really want and show experience to your future employers which is what they want

How many people are in your nursing class?
Started at 50...18 graduated
-
Less men in pediatric nursing?
Definitely less in the peds office I work in we're down to one male nurse now with 15 female nurses. Some men are intimidated. It sounds funny but in nursing school the only male student in our class and I worked together on the peds unit in the hospital and he felt like he couldn't connect with the patients like the females in the class did and it made him uncomfortable working with the kids.

Job Interview at the Birthing Center
How awesome!!! That is so exciting to hear a lot of LPN's around my area aren't hired for L&D and PP nursing due to the increased demand for RN's to fill these positions so it''s encouraging to hear there's still opportunities out there. Best of luck to you!
-
Nurses who are short and petite
I work in peds & even with the kids I sometimes have to be the one standing on the step stools to take vitals...they don't mind though as long as you have a good sense of humor about it and aren't afraid to ask for help when you need it you'll be fine

Doing My Happy Dance Today!!!

Should I get a nice car as a new LPN/LVN?
Who cares about what you drive. Your job is taking care of patients not worrying about how shiny your car is
