Staying healthy and fit in nursing school
How about we do a challenge!!! I'm looking for a good support group. I started only last week. I was 164.4 and yesterday I weighed in at 162.4, I've been working out the times a week on my treadmill, utilizing daily burn maybe twice a week and I'm creeping slowly into yoga. I'm using Noom weight loss app and I drink plenty water. I do watch what I eat during the week and I indulge a little on the weekends. what do you guys think?

Fortis college
Hi everyone Iwas recently inquiring about fortis. Was about to enroll and had to very carefully weigh my options. My mom went there for the LPN to rn program and succeeded. I am hesitant because they really dont want u to work. As a mother of three I absolutely HAVE to work. I'm currently at Reynolds finishing up the pre reqs for the LPN to RN. Only thing keeping me there is the flexibilty. I have a friend who is startIng in. Few weeks. I am still hesitant. Working is doable there, I just don't know.....

I'm also at Reynolds, I am applying for the Spring acceptance, this upcoming Fall will be my last semester of Pre-reqs. I have 3 more classes to go (MTH 126 and BIO 142) I'm taking BIO 141 this summer. I wish you all the best, please update whether you've gotten accepted ( as I know u will).

Which specialty would you like to end up in?
I'm interested in OB (Hence the name) but I'll take Neonatal, PEDS, or E.R.

Summer classes?!
Hey, I too am taking A/P this summer (10 wks also), I am taking it with a developmental math class (1cr.) I chose to do it this way because I think it'll benefit me. I'll take A/P II this fall along with other classes. I have taken ENG this past fall and it wasn't really difficult, just a lot of writing (as expected). To be honest with you, believe that I could've taken it online. I don't struggle with writing at all. Hope this helped. Good luck, it can be done.

Still hangin'
Hey everyone, it's been a long time since I've posted, but I'm still around. Just wanted to come in and say that I am still doing my Pre-reqs for J Sargeant Reynolds CC LPN-RN track. I was seriously considering leaving and going to Fortis (15 mos.) but I realized that I really dont want to add more money onto my student loans (especially that amount). Also, I realized that I only have 3 pre-reqs left YAY ME!!! I'm just gonna stick it out and stay at Reynolds. I enrolled in my summer classes today. I will be taking BIO 141(A&P I) alone this summer. This upcoming fall I will be taking BIO 142 (A&P II), MTH 126 (Math for Allied Health) and ITE 215 (Advanced Computer Concepts)... I took it in HS and got a F, so it is really bringing down my G.P.A. Just wanted to peek my head in and say thanks a bunch for being here, only y'all know what it is like as a student nurse. Love ya, smooches

Incentive to be MORE!!!
This week at work (Golden Living) Skilled Unit, 2 NPs on two seperate occasions asked if I was a LPN or RN, and that i should go for RN. they said for me to be new i am an excellent nurse, they even said I should think about becoming a NP. That secretly is my dream. I am currently taking pre-reqs for the LPN-RN bridge program, but that just gave me extra incentive to just GO FOR IT!!! Im so excited and proud of myself. They see my potential.... Not really asking anything, just wanted to share.
- How do you cheer yourself after a bad day at work?
