Yeah, that made me pretty mad knowing someone was getting special treatment. I tried calling about it, but never got through to anyone, so I gave up and decided to try and relax and just show up early to orientation.

I'll be there bright and early! I'm worried about how they're going to do registration - I need that first class section in order to make things work, and someone's already snagged a seat.

Mine put both so that there's no confusion.

I did the same thing, Toya - I plan to go do my test on Saturday at boulders. Had my titers drawn, tb test, and physical yesterday, then mailed out my accepting the acceptance form. I'm a little paranoid, so I'll package something together with another copy of that form and any results I have from testing and the physical, then hand deliver it Monday.

Is anyone else having trouble with the background check site? I go there, type in SG95 as the package code, click that I agree to terms, but then it takes me to an error page saying I need to sign in. I can't find anywhere to sign up / register for a profile...

Perhaps good things come to those who wait... for their mail carrier (haha) I'm not expecting anything until Saturday or Monday anyway, based on that July 3rd mailing estimate.

WOOHOO!!! Congratulations, buddy! Good luck in that semi-concurrent program - I hope you have the time and support to do well. I'm really hoping that's also a good indicator of acceptance in to the Reynolds program...

Hooray for a definite date! I bugged them, too - haha! I'm right down the road, so should definitely get the letter on Saturday. If not, I won't fret until after Monday's mail. Good luck to us all!

RjSmithTec, I agree that it's worth it to do the BSN program, but if I'm relying on loans, the maximum loan available doesn't cut it. I'd end up having to pay a few hundred a month out of pocket to make up the difference. Hopefully, there are still programs and employers out there willing to help with the cost of RN-BSN - I'd probably stay with a company like that for a long time if they did that for me.

I'll definitely pursue a BSN after my RN licensure, but I'm not sure where I'll go for it. I want something that has online courses for flexibility, but I'm also worried about the cost of four-year tuition. Right now, the loans cover all my tuition for 15 credits per fall and spring semester, then I lucked out with a grant for summer.

I had some random thoughts today... Registration starts 07/14/2014, and the first day of classes this fall will be 08/25/2014. Does anyone else remember hearing something about orientation? Do you know if this is required or just recommended, and what time of day it might be? I'd rather not blindside my boss with a last-minute request to change shifts or for a day off. And I know we'll need (if accepted) a physical, tiders drawn, and possible shots... I haven't seen a regular doctor in ages. Luckily, I have insurance through work, but what if I can't get an appointment within the next two months? I suppose it would be best for me to call and try to reach Ms. Edwards for these questions. Just throwing them out there in case anyone knows already.

So basically, during the six week mark... It's not that far, but it feels like forever! Did they say when she'll be back in the office?

That's where I don't have an advantage - when I went to add pre-nursing, the rep in the success center also added nursing as well. Not sure why they did, but I figure it doesn't make a difference, since we have to do the application anyway.
