I am curious as to how many you are going to apply for. I'm going for ABSN and I have 7 that I am interested in.

I applied to two ADN programs and got accepted to the one I was wanting! My ADN-BSN bridge will only take 9 more months after I graduate so I picked the ADN program so I could work while I finish. good luck to all!

There are three BSN schools were I live. Two of them are private and one is public. One of the private schools is very expensive. I would owe $60, 000 if I went there. The other private college is new with there bsn and also expensive but not quite as much as the first. The last school is a public university and is very affordable. I can't afford the first two colleges so I am only applying to the public nursing school. I am getting my prerequisite at a cc which is very cheap. Trying to get as much of an affordable education as possible.

I applied to one school and one school only. This is a second degree for me (for my first degree I applied to 9 schools), so I decided that if I was going to go for it, I was going to REALLY go for it lol. So I applied to Johns Hopkins..Early Decision..and got into their ABSN program starting this Fall. I'm probably going to have to black market my organs to pay for that $100k degree lol (I kid! I kid! Lol), but it was great to have a decision in December, before I'd even started my prereqs, so that I could be sure I wasn't taking any unecessary classes etc. I think 7 is a good number, OP. Before I got the ok from Hopkins, I was originally going to apply to 5.

Same! Also applying to 1 ADN as a last resort. I really hope it doesn't come to that though. ADN+bridge will take longer than straight BSN.
If I don't get into any, I'll just work my butt off to raise my GPA & apply for the next semester. There are no ADN programs in my area that I'm aware of-but if there was I would still wait. When are you applying?

I only applied to one. I found the one program that had a very clear cut acceptance policy. Certain scores, certain grades, etc. That way I am in complete control of being accepted or not. I don't think I could handle a lottery school or one that hinges on an interview / letter..

The schools I want to attend only admit in the fall. A year is a long time for me to sit around. I'm pretty confident I will get in somewhere. Just hope it's my first choice! I plan on applying this fall/winter.

I only applied to one school as well. I already had a majority of the prerequisites completed for this program. If I do not get in then my plan of action is to apply for Spring 14 since the deadline is in August.
Yep, it's a whopping $100k. This is the figure that the school gives with all probable costs included, like health insurance, living expenses, transportation etc. Tuition and fees itself is only about $18K per semester. I'll probably wind up spending closer to $85k total for the entire program (loans, school grant, work-study and out-of-pocket.) But still, it's expensive.
My stats? I have a B.A, in Government, and a 3.25 cumulative GPA (NOT including prereqs, b/c I was already accepted into the nursing prog before I even started taking those.)

I applied to a total of 5 schools (over a few years), and finally got into 1. I had 10 more on a list to apply to. Send applications to as many schools as you can, because I learned the hard way that you can't keep all of your eggs in one basket!
