How many Christmases have you worked?

Yes, we work on holidays. Some like it; some hate it; others are ok with it. In the past 5 years, how many Christmases have you worked? Is it busy during that time of year for you (in your area)? Are people jolly or just plain ole' mean?

But what about when you have grandkids? Just saying.

I assume when my kids have their own families, they will spend Christmas day together, then come see me on another day.

The past 4 I was off; I will be working Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 7-3:30. I still get to Celebrate on both days; Previously I have worked either night or days for the Christmas Holiday, and have worked around it. :yes:

I've worked either Christmas Eve or Christmas night for the last 23 years. Holidays don't really bother me except for the 4th of July because that is my hubby's birthday.

i have worked christmas every yrs since i became a nurse......which is for the last eight christmases...ugh, i finally had christmas off this year (yay) and what do you know? the DON sends me a text message asking if i could pick up christmas... and the softee i am i agreed. so, i wont have christmas off this year..... hopefully next year it will be different.

Every year since I've been in healthcare. I started at age 19; I'm 28 now. It doesn't bother me. I was raised in a Jewish faith. I pick up Christmas if I happen to have it off. ;)

I've worked every second Christmas plus either Christmas Eve or Boxing Day, alternating with New Year's Eve-New Year's Day since 1995.
