How long from the time you graduated until you got your ATT? I know it varies by state but just a rough estimate....I've heard from 2-6weeks and that's a pretty big range.
also how long did it take people that passed the first time to study for the NCLEX-PN? I'm an A student and did well on the mock exam but I don't want a false sense of security....

I got my ATT paper about a week after I signed up. I did all my ATT & NCLEX scheduling on line so it was a lot faster. i also was a straight A student in school and to be honest I didn't do a TON of studying. I started with Saunders book and CD but they seemed to get me frustrated because they went a lot more indepth with things than we did in school and then I started to doubt myself. I studied a lot with ATI also, on line. I found thier questions to be a lot more like the actual test. Most people like Saunders though, I know Suzanne uses that for her study program and I think almost everybody passes. I graduated in Feb, studied here and there until I took the test May 9. Passed with 85 questions.
Good Luck to you!!

..Unbelievable! ..I graduated last week and opened my email today and saw my ATT! I think it depends on how fast your school can send in your stuff. I immediately scheduled for the test for June 13th having studied and passed hesi with a score of over a thousand. I'm just doing my Kaplan Q bank questions right now because I don't know what else to study. I used the entire Saunders CD questions to study for HESI Exit....

I graduated 5/11/06, and rec'd my ATT (via email) 5/16/06. That's pretty darn fast if you ask me!! I have scheduled my test for next Thursday 5/25. (I had to do it very soon b/c I am in my last month of pregnancy).
I am using Saunders to study, so we will see how I do!!

Had Pinning last Thursday (5/11), Graduation on Saturday (5/13) and I received my ATT today. So surprising, considering we had a Interim Director having to do the work. Two years ago, when I graduated from LVN from the same school, I didn't receive my ATT for about two and half weeks. The first available date to take is June 7th. Having surgery on the 6th, so scheduled it for the 26th of June. I really hate waiting that long, but that's the way it is.

Jetson,
I don't know if it's different for you in your state, but I sent off my application to my state board of nursing a month before I graduated my nursing program. My application was reviewed and everything was ready for my school to send them the info that I had graduated. Then they sent me my authorization to take the boards. I'd go ahead and get all that stuff into your state board of nursing. Go onto their website, it should tell you everything there. Hope this helps.

I'm so happy to finally be able to post on this forum and this thread! I've been on pins and needles waiting for my ATT. Got just a little bit nauseated when I saw it in my inbox this afternoon!
I graduated 5/11, just got the ATT today and take the NCLEX on 6/7. I'll be so glad to have it over with!
Back to the books! I've been reading everyone elses study tips and have found them most useful. BTW, I'm using Saunders Comprehensive 2nd edition, Hurst Review & the Prioritization book by LaCharity. I'm trying to cover 1 topic a day in all three sources and then do the Saunders CD questions on the topic. So far, so good.
Good luck to everyone!

I graduated May 2nd and sent in all of my paperwork to the State (Indiana) last Wednesday, I'm waiting for my ATT and can't wait to schedule my NCLEX.
I did HESI last week and did very well on that. I've been doing 50 or so questions a day from Kaplan and Saunders and plan to schedule NCLEX for the soonest date possible. At this point, as one of my great instructors always told us.... we know what we know!
