How did you find out about allnurses.com?

as i'm looking at how many members and guests are online, i was wondering how you all found out about this website. i found allnurses.com when i was googling for help with my math problem while in my first semester in nursing school. ever since, allnurses had been my companion throughout my nursing journey and introduced this website to friends and co-workers as well. if it weren't for this site, i think i would be bored. it's so interesting to know about other people's opinions and experiences that i learned so much from all of you. so, thank you brian for starting allnurses.com and keeping it alive.:nurse:

I have always been a message board junkie, so had to figure there was one for nurses. Thank you google for finding AN for me. :yeah:

That's funny tokmom. I registered on a message board on a famous singer's website, but I found it to be boring. I guess I was looking for something that stimulated my mind. All they talk about were nice things about the singer. If you say negative things about him, the other fans will bite you.

I bought a 1951 Chevy pickup in the late summer of '09. I wanted to learn as much as I could and got involved in Stovebolt.com. I was continually posting questions and getting some good information from the Seasoned Mechanics.

I wondered: Could there be a site where I could do more discussion rather than merely questioning? Voila! AN.com. And because one of my threads was moved: AN-central!

Very cool places to be.

I found it on my 3-4 semester of LPN school. I was looking for some info about my BON and other info on my school. I would stop by occasionally but lately I have stopping by on a daily basis

When I was a PCT and I was just starting to apply to nursing schools there were nursing students at the hospital where I worked. I also chatted with them and helped them out and one of the girls told me about this site! I checked it out when I got home and have been hooked ever since!

dh was googling stuff for a job interview, an an popped up. he walked away from the computer leaving it up, and when i sat down to check my email, there it was! i've been addicted ever since. i think he's posted once!

I was doing a google search for something for work....can't even remember now what it was. I lurked for a while and finally joined. I love this site. One may even say I'm an AN junkie.

When I was thinking about changing careers, I googled "nursing" and came across Allnurses. I was so grateful to this very active site. Started on here as someone thinking about possible schools, now I'm a nursing student and will be here for many more years after because the members are great, especially the staff.
