How is the BSN entry level program at Nova Southeastern University?

Hi guys... i have another question? For the letters of recommendation, is it required that the recommendations be only from academic instructors, professors, advisors? i feel as though during my 2 years at fiu, taking class lectures with about 100 students... i didn't really get to know any teachers or made an impression on any where i could go back and ask them for a recommendation...
what do you guys think i should do? any advice.

I recommend to get the letters from your science professors, just because it looks a little better since youre going into a science field, or any other professor would be great as well!

Hey you guys. Yes I realized the schedules were changed yesterday because in July, my schedule was only Tuesday,Wednesday and Friday. Now I have a class from 9:00 am to 12 noon on Monday and Friday. And an anatomy class on Tuesday and Wednesday from 1-4pm. And on Wednesday another class in the morning. The books cost me a total of about 250.00 total 8 books. See you all inn orientation. I bought some through barnes and noble, and i rented some. I compared the prices for each between barnes and noble and chegg and half.com. I then chose to rent some and buy the other ones.

I call for Kristin and she confirm that the schedule on webstar is the right one( from monday to friday). Thanks May21 and Iamstudent for your reply. I ordered 8 books on Amazon.com, and 2 in bookstore, it costs me around 500. I am not sure that we have to order all of them. Do you guys buy the Respone card rf flicker?

Hey guys, I will also be attending Kendall campus this fall for the BSN program!

I am very excited and eager to meet you all!!! :)

I have a question, maybe one of you can answer me!

In my account summary online for the tuition my description is Bap Hosp Nurs Tui FL and then the amount. I didn't even have the chance to apply to the baptist scholarship because I was admitted a little late so I don't know why is it referring to baptist. SO I was wondering if for every student that is attending the miami/Kendall campus it appears the same way, is it a coding they have for the miami/kendall campus??

Please let me know :)

I did not get Bastist scholorship and my tuition appears the same way. I ordered some books online with paperback, I don't know it will different from hard cover or not. Have any of you buy paperback book?

So I know this is probably the least of everyones worries right now but do most people wear their scrubs to school or business casual attire? And if we wear our scrubs to school are we required to wear a lab coat with it as well?

What about shoes? Do they have to be completely all white? I found some white Nikes but the check mark is grey..I am finding it almost impossible to find any shoe that is all white.

From what I used to see on the main campus, when i was taking my pre reqs the nursing students are alway in scrubs and i believe the lab coat is for the days when they have labs, but the classes that requires lab coat, you usually have that class everyday so they probably have their lab coats in their car even on the days when the dont have lab just in case. lab coats i believe are not required unless your in a lab, it does matter where ur at medical school, pharmarcy or nursing. For the all white sneakers, there are all of them out there, look online.

Hello!! I am so excited for everyone who was accepted to Nova this Fall!!!!
I plan to apply for Spring 2012 at the Kendall campus but i am sooo Nervous!!! I can't even sleep! Literally. Can anyone tell me what gpa nova looks at? Is it your pre requisites, science, or cumulative gpa? As of now i have a 3.47 cum gpa from fiu and a 3.2 science gpa. I haven't calculated my pre requisite gpa. Can anyone tell me what gpa they had when they got accepted?? I need a little motivation. ...a little bit a least.

Hey! I'm also applying for January but for the main campus, I hear there's more possibility of getting accepted.... I haven't submitted my application yet because I am still writing my essay. My gpa is a 3.2 :confused: . The advisor told me that they categorize you in many ways... so I am not sure what the gpa is exactly..I've read stories of people with really low gps, repeats, and more...So just relax and wait! lol. Did you already apply?

Hi guys!

I also applied for January 2012 at the main campus. I only applied like a week before the deadline so I'm a little nervous about that, especially since I've read a lot on these boards that Nova admits on a first come, first serve basis :eek: . I'm still keeping my hopes up though!

For those of you awaiting your decision, have you received the e-mail about accessing your webstar account? I know in the email it says receiving it doesn't imply admission, but I read a post on another board by a girl who said that receiving this e-mail was her first clue that she was probably accepted into the program. Ahhh the waiting is killing me!!

Good luck to you all :) Please keep me posted if you hear anything or get accepted! It's good to hear from people going through the same thing!
