I bought some through barnes and noble, and i rented some. I compared the prices for each between barnes and noble and chegg and half.com. I then chose to rent some and buy the other ones.

Hey you guys. Yes I realized the schedules were changed yesterday because in July, my schedule was only Tuesday,Wednesday and Friday. Now I have a class from 9:00 am to 12 noon on Monday and Friday. And an anatomy class on Tuesday and Wednesday from 1-4pm. And on Wednesday another class in the morning. The books cost me a total of about 250.00 total 8 books. See you all inn orientation. Hey you guys!! Sorry I have taken time to resply but it has been crazy at work. Ok..Jamnurse: Financial Aide and Loans are covering my tuition. As far as the books, I bought them from barnes and noble online/half.com, I bought some and I rented some. Since I am registered for the Kendall campus, I looked up the booklist in the nova bookstore website, entered the course section and it gives you your booklist. As far as uniforms: the website to order uniforms is: http://www.nsuuniformstore.com and the website to order labcoats is: https://www.webmedbooks.com/nova/default2.aspx . For the labcoats, I went to the Nova Bookstore in Fort Lauderdale, I took a look at the uniforms and color and I tried on the labcoats. Once you know your size, you can order them online. The labcoat can only be ordered online. I ordered my labcoat already, about two weeks ago and I am still waiting for it to arrive. For the uniforms, what I did was order one top from school and order the rest of the tops from another store, just matching the one from school. The bottoms I bought at another store. Its called Uniform Advantage by South Miami Hospital on US1. They give you 10% off for being a student and they have fall sales. I just ordered my books today and I should have them by next week. So anyone that is going to Kendall, I have class on Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday, and Friday. I am registered for section E6 for Anatomy and Intro to Nursing class and the Math class section E5. Hey you guys! I called Baptist and they already chose the students. It is 30 people who they pick. Those of you attending Kendall campus, we will not be registered from here to two weeks. I called Kendall campus and they are waiting from the list from Baptist to register us. Ok.... :)

Hi I got rejected too! As far as I have heard, Baptist Scholars only accepted 10 students from Nova. The majority of the nursing scholars come from Barry University. But Ohh well. I am going to be attending the Kendall campus.I checked my schedule and I am still not registered for classes. I paid my full tuition since June 29th. Has anyone purchased uniforms yet?

Has anyone that has applied for the Baptist Scholar been accepted yet? I had my interview on the 16th and they told me it takes from 2-3 weeks. Its been two and nothing.

Does anyone have the site where we can order the uniforms and lab coat online? I was looking at old threads and I see that some students were told they can order it online and I wanted to know if anyone has? If they can provide the website? Thanks....:)

:nurse:Hey Stephanie..... You have a hard choice to make. It all depends on your situation. The community college is much cheaper than Nova. But Nova offers the Baptist Scholar. It is all up to you. Nova is 27 months and you finish with your BSN, while going to a community college might be up to one year and a half and you only finish with your ASN. Then you have to go back to school and obtain your BSN which in that case takes one more year. So Nova: 27 months,BSN and fulltime. Community College, 18 months,ASN, fulltime. I think you should choose Nova but then again it all depends on your situation and what is best for you. Good Luck making your decision!

Hey jerziana, I am applying to the Baptist Scholar and I wanted to know if you sent your official transcript or unofficial with the application? Also, how was the interview process? I am very nervous. The deadline is June 1st and I am going to turn it in next week. I am just pending to do my essay and my professors recommendation letter. Everyone else: Does the Nova at Kendall have a bookstore? Do you know the times it is open? Will I be able to go and see the uniforms and lab coat so I can order them? Approximately how much does do the uniforms costs at the Nova bookstore? In reference to the books, I think fall 2011 students will be using the same books as the winter 2011 students. Where did you guys buy the books from? Congratulations on the nurses starting their 2nd semester! Good luck and enjoy your break. Online they have on the Nova's website the list of books but I did not know if to purchase them now before orientation or after. Do you have the website for the uniforms through Nova? Thank you very much for all your help! CastG9-DOn't worry, applications are being processed. I think some of the students that are being chosen now were deferred from Winter. I had applied for WInter 2011 and deferred for Fall. I have been patiently waiting for their response and I finally got in. Be patient and stay positive. DOn't lose hope! :)

Hey everyone. I spoke to admissions and they provided me with the pin and package code for the background check. After you pay the $500 dollar deposit and send in the Intent to Enroll Form, you will receive an email with your pin and package code for the background check which then gives you access to the immunization and physical form. School starts on August 22, 2011. So far I have found the answers to my questions. If anyone needs any help, let me know, glad to assist.

:nurse:Jennifer023 ......how was your first semester? Where did u order your uniforms? I received the acceptance package two days ago. I faxed in the intent to enroll form with the receipt of the payment I made online today. I also faxed everything for Financial Aide. I have to mail in the Residency proof tomorrow. I printed out some forms in one of the links that states we need to bring to orientation. Orientation for Kendall campus is on August 16,2011. Do you know when classes start?How did you go dress for orientation? Did you get the Baptist Scholar? If u did, how was it for the interview? Sorry for so many questions. I am really nervous because I do not know anyone coming this semester for Kendall campus in Fall. I have not been able to view the form for the physical and immunization and I wanted to see if you knew how I can do that? Has anyone see it yet, those forms? I am trying to get things done early so I will not worry after. I am planning everything because I will have to stop working coming August. I work for a Doctor and I told him I got accepted and he is going crazy! I am trying to save up money before I start school. :yeah:I was accepted on 4/21 and I received an email yesterday and my acceptance packet today. I paid the 500 dollar deposit yesterday online but I am confused. Do we need to send the intent to enroll form with the receipt of the payment? And I was printing up the forms and registering for orientation on the 16th of August. I wanted to see if those that have been accepted, found out how to find the forms for the physical assessment, etc. ??? And I would like to congratulate everyone who has been accepted and those that haven't, please have patience and dont lose hope. I have been waiting for this a long time now. I had applied for winter and deferred for Fall. Now I was accepted!:)

Hey everyone. I got accepted for Fall 2011 at the Kendall campus and I wanted to know what are the steps to follow. I paid my deposit online. I received an email with my acceptance but I am still waiting for the package to arrive. I am looking into the Baptist Scholar. Any info on that?
