How is the BSN entry level program at Nova Southeastern University?

Hey I'm new to this site, and was just curious how Nova's nursing program is. I just got accepted into the Fall 2010 nursing program at the main campus in Davie. Any advice on how it is? Did you feel prepared when you took your NCLEX after completing the 27 month program? Would love to hear from anybody. I'm so excited and cant wait to start in august! :)

no problem :)! first off, i love the program and i can definitely say i am happy i made the decision to go to nova. i recently started so i can’t say much for all the semesters, but so far it is a lot of work. however, it is very doable as long as you keep up with the work. i have to say though, i thought i had a decent background in ap before i started and i was definitely wrong lol. the adv. ap is the hardest part about 1st semester, but the professor for it is amazing and very helpful! she will do anything she can to help. i like you was accepted to other programs and was not sure what to do as well. i know other schools don’t offer the adv ap class and i feel that it is a course that is very helpful and important to be able to succeed in all of your nursing classes.

as for the housing, most students i know live at home and i currently live 5 mins from main campus. i believe there are only a couple students who live on campus & in an apartment. do you live around nova or are you from out of town?

Phew! I always wanted to go to Nova but I just recently got into University of Miami's accelerated program, so I got a little bit confused about which school I'd really prefer to go to. But Nova would definitely be more practical for me, I just hope I get in! I'm from Boca so I would definitely want to move into an apartment there. I was hoping that people would find out that they got accepted and post on the Nova boards on this website so that I might find a roommate that way. It'd definitely be a plus to live with someone who's in the same program since it's going to be a lot of work and I need someone who is serious about school and not partying all the time.

I think I have a pretty solid AP background as well, but I guess I'll find out haha. That class sounds prettyyy intense!

I'm so happy. I'm not the only one whose patiently waiting. I seriously can't sleep. I really want to get in Nova.I call also and told me that I would have to wait until late OCtober to get answer. Im just hoping they would hurry up.

I just want to say good luck to everyone waiting. I know how nerve wrecking it can be because I was in your shoes a year ago. Time really does fly by. Regardless of what happens remember that your ultimate goal is to be a nurse. Don't ever lose site of that. Good luck and I hope to see some of you; if not all, at the Kendal campus.

Hi Juli! We're all trying to patiently wait until the end of October, but wow, it is getting difficult for me- I just want to know already! What campus did you apply to? I applied to the Main Campus. Thanks NurseKitty!! It is quite difficult to wait it out but hopefully in a few weeks I'll find out that I've been accepted to the main campus :)

I heard that they update it on your vip page and than send all of the information needed in a package in the mail. THE END OF OCTOBER IS PRETTY MUCH HERE && I'M READY TO GET MY LETTER IN THE MAIL YOU GUYS!!!!! lol

Sorry for all of the caps kayla lmbo. I'm just a little stoked about getting it.

I wish that I could just go to sleep and wake up when a decision is made! It is all I think about day and night lol. I have tried to occupy my mind with other things but it just doesn't work! I NEED to know!
