Published

Hey I'm new to this site, and was just curious how Nova's nursing program is. I just got accepted into the Fall 2010 nursing program at the main campus in Davie. Any advice on how it is? Did you feel prepared when you took your NCLEX after completing the 27 month program? Would love to hear from anybody. I'm so excited and cant wait to start in august! :)

Hey May21 i received a friendship request from you, however I have not been on this site for a very long time. lol I am also a nova baptist scholar, I got sick through my semester and had to take myself out. however i am still in and can provide you with as much info as you may need. Like I did with Eny and Jennifer, I am here to help. I was surprised because I had completely forgotten about this thread. OOps!! If you go back into some threads i posted a lot of info about the uniforms and Eny as well as Jennifer will help you... Congrats girls on your first semester!!! Way to go!! As for those coming in..... relax because you are going to need it. Keep an open mind..... have a great weekend!! You can pm at anytime I dont have a problem. I may see you in August.... as for scholars just go in strong and confident do not hesitate on any questions and correct yourself when they provide you with a negative vibe, just be you..... thats all they want is to be the best and stand out with what you say ok.... you will be fine... best of luck and as always I am here to help you or whomever else. CONGRATZZZ!!! to those that got accepted. I can remember when I was in this thread, reading every single detial and getting all the information I can about the NOVA program while waiting for my acceptance letter. I am very happy to say I just finished 1st semester thursday and am an official 2nd semester student at NOVA. I have two weeks off and will take advantage of it because like the other young ladies said, once you start the program its study study study!!!. Allnurses helped me a lot so if you guys can ask, or pm me anything? I want to help you all just like allnurses helped me.. :):):):)

That is awsome. I didn't even think of using my phone. I hope I am not the oldest student in my class lol. My husband is getting me a digital recorder for Mother's Dad lol. He is so excited about me getting into NOVA. I hope this sets a very good example for my to young adult children.

Hey guys congrats on those who have been recently accepted!!! I just finished my first semester, and it was a great experience. Im going to the kendall campus and it was overwhelming at times, but you learn in this program to push yourself through times that may seem impossible. I made great friends that were supportive. TIPS: Physio make sure you pay attention through out lecture, study her powerpoints and I used the book as a reference, Anatomy- You are given the material the first day of class bring colored pencils also study hard, Math for those who are in kendall study weekly because theres a 99% chance you will have weekly quizzes, the other 2 classes are easy just keep up with the deadlines. Main priority: Physio alot of my friends used recorders I didnt and I did well :) Also I bought a rolling bookbag. Just remember that the semester will fly by and just keep your self motivated, and have fun while your at it. Make time for yourself, and stay strong.! Email me if you have any questions

hey guys, I got accepted to 2 nursing program, one is a community college and Nova. If u we're on my position, which one u would rather choose?

Hey jerziana,

I am applying to the Baptist Scholar and I wanted to know if you sent your official transcript or unofficial with the application? Also, how was the interview process? I am very nervous. The deadline is June 1st and I am going to turn it in next week. I am just pending to do my essay and my professors recommendation letter.

Everyone else: Does the Nova at Kendall have a bookstore? Do you know the times it is open? Will I be able to go and see the uniforms and lab coat so I can order them? Approximately how much does do the uniforms costs at the Nova bookstore? In reference to the books, I think fall 2011 students will be using the same books as the winter 2011 students. Where did you guys buy the books from?

Congratulations on the nurses starting their 2nd semester! Good luck and enjoy your break. And good luck to those that have been accepted!:clpty:

And those that are still waiting for a reply, don't give up or lose hope!:redpinkhe

:nurse:Hey Stephanie.....

You have a hard choice to make. It all depends on your situation. The community college is much cheaper than Nova. But Nova offers the Baptist Scholar. It is all up to you. Nova is 27 months and you finish with your BSN, while going to a community college might be up to one year and a half and you only finish with your ASN. Then you have to go back to school and obtain your BSN which in that case takes one more year. So Nova: 27 months,BSN and fulltime. Community College, 18 months,ASN, fulltime. I think you should choose Nova but then again it all depends on your situation and what is best for you. Good Luck making your decision!

Thank you May21 for the advice and you absolutely right because ultimately I want a bachelor. I'm 20 years old, with no kids. I'll try for the scholarship but i'll still will keep the other option open if I dnt got the scholarship.

Hello!

I applied for the Nova Southeastern University Fort Myers Campus for Fall 2011. I have not gotten a response yet but I did speak with the Director of Admissions. He said they were still making decisions throughout this week. I was deferred from my application for Winter 2011, because I was still in the Process of taking three major prerequisites. Has anyone else heard anything in regards to the Fort Myers campus? I am so nervous!
