CONGRATS! I can't help much on the housing issue. I have lived on FMB for 2 years and I stay there most of the time lol. When you get your packet, just take one thing at a time and follow the directions. Anything you do not understand, call the numbers they provide you. They are all nice and ready to help you. Make sure you do the background check (do not pay for it, even if it ask, because NOVA pays for that.) and set up your health magnus account. Remember one thing at a time. Can't wait to meet you. I am going to Fort Myers Campus and I believe it is just as good as the main campus. Keep your faith because I heard alot of students drop just prior to beginning at any three of the campuses. Just think, if you are on the waiting list then your in. You just have to wait for you spot to come open. Carla:nurse:

My packet came in about 1 week. Make sure you just take your time and read one thing at a time. I too could not hardly believe I got in. There were over 1000 applicants and just over 200 got in WOW:eek:. BE PROUD YOU ARE A NOVA SHARK. Now all our hard work will get us somewhere finally. I plan to do the NP or PA track immediately after completion of BSN. I am ready to Rock and I am a old lady (49) lol. Carla

Congrats I am doing the happy dance for you. Which campus are your going too? I am Fort Myers Campus. I found out on my VIP page also and I swear I couldn't breath for a moment and my heart skipped a few beats lol. The evaluation forms are to be printed off and each of your letter of recommendations ppl fill those out and send them in. Since you are already accepted you may not have to do those. I would just call admission and ask them. They are pretty nice to work with. Make sure you get on your finanical aide stuff, Fl resendency stuff right away when you get your packet. Just follow the steps one at a time. Carla

Hi Anne, Good for you on getting all that paper work in. It was alot lol of work and running around to put it all together. As far as bad places to live well, make sure you stay out of Tice area (very high crime). Try to look all around the school so you dont waist gas. I will be driving from the beach everyday cause I live on the island. If I were very young again lol, I would try to to get 3 to 4 students and split rent getting a house with 2+ bathrooms which would save alot on overall living expenses. There are alot of homes especially this side of Leihigh. Colonial blvd is hell with traffic especially during season Nov-May, so the closer the better for you. They will call you back about your pin for the background check and oh, Nova pays for that background check so do not give them credit card info. Also don't hesitate to call the help number for background and magnus to help you set everything up. They are pretty nice about helping you. I figure right after June 1, which is after the holiday and then July 4, things will start rolling full swing ahead and August will be here fast. I am ready and excited. Can't wait to meet you and all my other co-students. I am an older student (49) and hope I am not the oldest lol. I am a serious student but I also would like to think I am a little bit fun lol. Look through your packet very thoroughly and follow all directions. You have to do the Florida residency with has to be noterized, background check and magnus health portal. If you do not have those forms, call main number and get on them to give you that info because it is alot of work to do. Also check your nova e-mail, webstar and NOVA VIP page a couple times a day for any changes or messages to you. Make very sure all your financial aide stuff is complete. You should get more stuff in the mail describing most of this. I would call and make sure you have everything in prior to orientation. Oh, and did you register for orientation on August 17? Hi Sueschool Do not give up. I was accepted to the Fort Myers Campus for Fall 2011. As long as you have all the requirments you will get in. It may not be right away but you will get in. NOVA was my dream and I am scared and nervous at the same time. It seems like August is forever away lol. I do know from talking with financial aide today at Fort Myers campus, that they are still making some decisions due to ppl dropping out already. So hang in there. Good luck. That is awsome. I didn't even think of using my phone. I hope I am not the oldest student in my class lol. My husband is getting me a digital recorder for Mother's Dad lol. He is so excited about me getting into NOVA. I hope this sets a very good example for my to young adult children. Wings

What is best digital recorder for lectures did any of you use? I just recieved my packet today so Monday I will do all my paperwork ASAP so it is all done prior to oreintation. I am getting my physical done Monday so that will be out of the way. This is just so exciting. Wings (Fort Myers Campus)

Congrats to all of my new fellow NOVA Sharks. May21, I had to print the "intent to enroll" form off and fax it to the admissions. I just checked my mail and my packet is not here yet lol. I am just so happy. Can't wait to get started. I will be on the Fort Myers Campus. Wings
