Houston Residencies Summer 2019!!

Can you believe applications have started opening up? Anyway, just an early start for everyone to discuss.

I'm planning on applying to Harris Health, Memorial Hermann, Methodist, & TCH, and I will be applying to multiple locations for each. I'm trying to decide if I should branch out and apply at some places out of state or not since I want a very demanding specialty, but I'm not necessarily ready to uproot my family just for my residency. I'm open to suggestions or thoughts from others who have been through this part of the experience already.

When did you receive this invite? I’ve been stressing about getting a call back from them from the first interview. Knowing that I didn’t get invited to this second interview day is kinda putting me over the edge lol

I missed the call from them I think it usually take human resource about 2-4weeks. Good luck!

I didn't personally ask , but I heard they would have their decisions by the end of this week.

When I asked one of the recruiters, she said we should know more around the first week of May.

I am sorry to hear that, keep your head up! I received it today but I did not get invited to their first interview. I believe this is a separate event

From what I understand , only 3 of the 6 positions have been contacted so they should still be making calls.
