HCA Women’s Health Cohort: since we’re having to travel way out to Cypress for our orientation if anyone in the Southwest area of Houston or another nearby area is interested in setting a carpool up for the 5-6 weeks we’re there message me ?

I was told by the recruiters (Erika) that we won’t go through the process of ordering scrubs until we’ve completed orientation. I’m unclear if that’s all of orientation or just classroom. From what Erika told me it was our full orientation, including preceptorship, but healthtrust made it sound like it was after the classroom portion ??‍♀️ Either way, we’re for sure allowed to wear whatever scrubs during the classroom portion. I personally bought royal blue ones but they can be any color

I haven’t either. While at a Dr.s appointment a few weeks ago I saw the cohort that started 7/22 at the 7400 Fannin building so it may be there.

I got an email for the urine drug test but not for the blood work. Going to be in the med center Monday for another appointment so I was opening to knock the labs out in one day ?

Those that have already started with HCA, what does the employee screening entail?

I have a hep B titer done since it was required by my school, but don’t have any others done. Does HCA require all of them?

I got my actual license number 48 hrs after my license was posted on the TBON. You have to go to print certificate and that will allow you to see your license number. You will also get a mailed letter from the BON with your license number

Hey so if you passed your name should be posted on the BON 48 hours after you test. Your license number will be available 48 hours after your license is posted. Your name on the BON is an ‘official result’. You’ll also get a letter from the BON congratulating you on passing, telling you your license number etc.

So update on the whole scrub thing: I talked to Erika, one of the HCA recruiters today and she confirmed that HCA is transitioning to ordering our scrubs through them. However, she said during our training we can wear whatever scrub color we have and once we’re getting ready to transition onto the hospitals pay roll we’ll sit down with HR and order our scrubs through them. Personally I think I’m probably go ahead and purchase 1 or 2 pairs of royal blue scrubs so I don’t totally stick out durIng training ?

Generally from what I observed through my clinical rotations, each hospital system had a specific color RN’s wore. Some over lapped (Ex. HCA and TCH both wore royal blue) and then others were different from each other (ex. St. Luke’s wears teal and UTMB wears black). I’m bummed too, I was super excited to try out figs!
