Houston Residencies Summer 2019!!

Can you believe applications have started opening up? Anyway, just an early start for everyone to discuss.

I'm planning on applying to Harris Health, Memorial Hermann, Methodist, & TCH, and I will be applying to multiple locations for each. I'm trying to decide if I should branch out and apply at some places out of state or not since I want a very demanding specialty, but I'm not necessarily ready to uproot my family just for my residency. I'm open to suggestions or thoughts from others who have been through this part of the experience already.

I believe that user was referring to one unit specifically. I haven’t heard anything related to the unit I interviewed for

I finally received the written offer letter from Memorial Hermann SW but could not sign it electronically. Anyone else have that issue?

If applying to a residency:

ask about how the residency works

a typical day for a new grad participating in the residency

how their culture is? Do they promote learning?

No but when I talked to HR on Friday about my pay and offer for the OR they said they were busy making calls still. So hoping that you hear something soon
