Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2021 Applicants

I wanted to start a new thread for those of us applying to Houston new grad nurse residency programs to ask questions and share information.

I am brand new to this site so I hope I'm doing this correctly... Good luck everyone!

Has anyone heard back from hermann IMU’s? I had my interview last Tuesday and my application still says under review but they said they would get back to me in 24-72 hours.. any suggestions??

My friend heard back from C IMU and accepted the offer. If they haven’t gotten back to you maybe they are waiting to see how many people accept the offer. You can always email a recruiter and ask for an update ?

I contacted MD Anderson and they told me right now they’re only hiring candidates who have passed NCLEX.

I think they might be calling people once interviews are over.. I am not 100% sure. I have mine this week with med-surg, how did your interview go??

I thought it went really well LOL but I haven’t heard anything so I’m nervous 

I just got an email from St. Luke’s for an interview! Anybody else?

It didn't say anything about the units anywhere in the email, it just was a general thing for their interview day on the 16th - you just picked a time slot. On my original application survey thing where they asked for your top two areas of interest I picked the two choices/bullets that said "Orthopedics, Rehab, Emergency Department" and "Neurology, Intermediate Care Unit" @newgradnurseJen
