I wouldn’t accept a position I don’t want personally especially not with HCA’s contract. You have really amazing experience it sounds like- better than me for sure. Maybe someone could look over your resume (career services, a nurse you know, etc.) to see if there is a way you could stand out more? Maybe if you put TMC first then you could put some other locations first in the next go around? Memorial Hermann and Methodist recruit again starting in May, so it’s really not that far away. If you’re heart is in women’s health then I wouldn’t settle. I know it’s hard when you want a job though!

No not ICU or IMU, thank you though! The units are like Ortho Trauma, Silver Trauma and a burns unit. All those managers were in my intervew.

Has anyone received an offer/ know someone that has received an offer from any of the trauma units at TMC? I interviewed on 3/25 and was told I would hear back at the end of the day Friday by the manager that interviewed me, but didn’t hear anything. I emailed the recruiter and she said they are still making a decision, but something seems off. I was thinking maybe they offered someone else and are waiting for them to accept/ deny

My friend heard back from C IMU and accepted the offer. If they haven’t gotten back to you maybe they are waiting to see how many people accept the offer. You can always email a recruiter and ask for an update ?

I just got a text/ email about match day interviews for ortho trauma TMC for Memorial Hermann

I had my pre-screen today and she said that they are doing pre-screens all this week and next, so I’m sure that they will release more times ?

No not particularly. They will open them based on when the specific unit is ready to hire, so the rep said check every week or so.

I am sorry you are so stressed! I haven't heard back from anywhere except Methodist yet, but I am going to wait until the end of the week to start freaking out LOL. The only hospital you didn't mention is MD Anderson. They are supposed to open more closer to Summer. You could look at openings for UTMB they have hospitals in Galveston and Angleton? Also, some of the systems let you reapply in Summer and the applicant pool might be smaller then. Hang in there!
