Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2021 Applicants

I wanted to start a new thread for those of us applying to Houston new grad nurse residency programs to ask questions and share information.

I am brand new to this site so I hope I'm doing this correctly... Good luck everyone!

Well if anyone gets a notification from St Luke’s who chose ICU please let us know.

ICU wasn't an option - IMU was though and I put that for one of my choices and got the email from them

I applied for St. Lukes in the med center and haven't heard back, has anyone heard back from them?

I cannot remember what I picked then I know it was for something critical. On the email for the assessment it said imu, ICU limited opportunities. I am not sure if they will still contact me if they don’t have any spots for that.

when you filled out the survey thing there wasn't an option for ICU. each option had multiple areas of interest and one of those options included ER and another had IMU. and you got to choose two

St. Lukes areas of interest that you could choose from on the application or survey or whatever it was:

1. "Renal, Liver, Transplant"

2. "Oncology, Pulmonology"

3. "Orthopedics, Rehab, Emergency Department"

4. "Cardiology, Cardiovascular"

5. "Surgical Telemetry, Medical Telemetry"

6. "Neurology, Intermediate Care Unit"

You got to pick two
